Dinsun Review
I'm generally allergic to anything this colorful, but I have to admit the gameplay loop here is tighter than I expected. OvenSmash isn't trying to be League of Legends, and that's its strength. The 3v3 matches are short—perfect for a phone—and the 'Gold Rush' mode actually requires some coordination. The 'Spell Cards' introduce a level of randomness that I usually despise, but in this chaotic setting, it almost works.
However, the 'Summon Shop' is just a fancy name for a gacha system, and that's where they lose me. If you don't have the right Biscuits or the latest 'Legendary' Cookie, you're going to feel it in the higher ranks. It’s fun in small doses, but the constant pressure to pull for new units makes it hard to take seriously as a competitive game. It’s a 6/10 experience wrapped in 10/10 marketing.
