Crashlands 2 in IOS

★★★★★ Fun but…

I feel they made a huge mistake in ditching the old building stations that each had its own items you can craft from a certain monster. I also really enjoyed being able to craft a certain weapon or armor piece several times in hopes of getting a purple roll. They also got rid of the old fishing mechanic that I really enjoyed. Plus the map is better but does not show npcs on the map and really makes completing quests hard. Also the gadgets are not as fun and original as the first game. I feel in upgrading so many things they lost the passion and originality the first game had in spades. They also made upgrading pets far too wat this time around and I really loved the challenge of having to kill those hard enemies to get their souls to be able to upgrade your pet fully. So many good things they ditched in order to make the game easier. No more tough enemies and also your pet is on a cool down that’s not what the first game was about. Also more important they got rid of all mini bosses and bosses. I’ve been playing over 10 hours and haven’t fought a single boss. They map is one giant world but all biomes feel the same. That said I’m sure if you enjoyed the first you will love this one but you will miss so much of the first game sadly.

Listen, these butterscotch guys don’t mess around. If you value your time, get another game. You’ll run out of lives or energy or whatever candy crush bollocks and be forced to reckon with your own fragile human existence. But if you want to experience something a little… Juicier? Well look it’s 3 am, the game’s only been out 17 hours and I just lost the last 12. I don’t know what happened temporally in the outside world, all I know is the loop is gooooood. The design is the bomb-diggity. And I think I’ve scratched the surface, but heck I still haven’t even touched whole systems. Between the gorgeous art, immersive systems, just downright funny writing, and stellar music, this is the first game in I don’t know how long that I’ve put down all other media, tv, podcasts, music, and just immersed myself in a singular game. And you can have it on your phone! Progress/saves sync back and forth between my phone, iPad, and steamdeck seamlessly too.

★★★★★ Price is MINIMAL for time

Look, i don’t do reviews.. I thought just a rating for most things is good enough, but someone may read this and make up their minds. This game is pure joy. The art, the humor, the gameplay, its firing on all cylinders. The progression in the game makes you feel like there is always something to do, or just farm some supplies and build a rad base. Just being able to get off work, wife watches some tv, and i can still chat with her and play. For me that’s what im looking for. I’ve put so many hours and still haven’t left the first area, there are many secrets and surprises hidden. You know those games where you want to explore and get to that one corner where you expect something to be there.. ITS THERE in this game. Buy it, just do it. NO REGURTS

★★★★★ Well worth $10!!! 5/5 Game

This is my first and only introduction to a Crashlands game. I never played the first one but saw it had a lot of good reviews, so when this sequel was released i figured I’d give it a shot and I’m so glad I did! The amount of stuff to do in this game is surreal and the world building is amazing as well, it just pulls you right in! I’m not one to usually buy games on the App Store let alone leave a review so this goes to show how much I would recommend this game! If you’re on the fence, just get it! My one and only complaint, not even really a complaint, —I wish there would be more updates! I’m sure it takes a lot to release new updates being a small studio but I will be anxiously waiting for the next update!

★★★★★ Rough start

The first zone is too dark. I still have problems seeing at max brightness being inside on an overcast day. Having to dodge every attack & having a progress bar on every attack feels terrible. Why not have big windups for really powerful attacks only? The telegraphs need to be simplified. They aren’t supposed to be art, they are supposed to be easy to read. Visually it looks like the enemies are hitting me, but because I wasn’t inside the weird shape, I don’t get hit. Why have telegraphs all over the ground for enemies who are doing very simple attacks? Instead of focusing on enemies and their animations, I’m playing avoid the shapes, it’s lame. Not gonna continue playing after an hour but I enjoy their podcast so I hope this does well!

Loved the first game. Bought this as soon as it was out. Initial feeling was positive. After a while it is now more mixed. The game seems to be essentially linear unlike the first one. Find juice factories. Kill bots. Find key cards. Kill more bots. Turn back on a building for a blink, bots are back. Kill them. Go to the next building. Kill bots. Return to the first one. Bots respawned. Try to find the next building. Respawned bots everywhere. Kill them. Try to find the key card. All bots respawned. Kill them. Turn around the corner. More respawned bots. Etc. Ad nauseam. After 30+ attempts to kill guy-d I am essentially stuck. Nothing to do. Nothing new to craft. Enter factory. Kill bots and spend half of healing items. Give a go at guy-d. Get killed after making a tiny dent on its health. Build more healing items. Fight bots. Use healing items. Fight bots. Another go at guy-d. I have played the first one through many many times. It is feel-good and relaxing. This leaves me just anxious and I seem to be taking longer and longer now between even coming back to it. I see no point in the endless bot killing. They don’t drop items. They don’t give you anything. Fighting them over and over in same locations is just waste of time. This could be great but balance is off.

This game feels like a completely new game. You carried over all the aspects from the first game and turned them into something completely new! If you liked the first game you’d love this one! If you guys could, when it comes to some missions I get pretty lost sometimes(because I skip through all the speech). You should add a feature that helps u with missions, like gives u a hint, I see there is an (!) on the map. But some missions don’t have that, for example with the first let, I don’t remember where I got the egg so idk where to go! Other than that the game is amazing! Maybe also adding a feature where I can switch from 1,2,3,4 equipment sets easily
