Dinsun Review
I've been playing Final Fantasy since the NES days, so seeing Cloud and Sephiroth fly around an arena always gets a tiny spark out of me. But Dissidia has always been a weird beast, and this mobile iteration is no different. The 'Brave' combat system is unique, sure, but on a touchscreen, it feels like fighting the controls more than the enemy. There’s a lot of depth here—character builds, equipment, skill trees—but it’s buried under a mountain of menus and typical Square Enix gacha nonsense.
When the combat clicks, it’s cinematic and exciting. When it doesn’t, you’re just tapping a screen and watching numbers fly while your character does a canned animation. It’s a pretty game, I’ll give it that. The models look great. But it feels like it wants to be a console game and is constantly being held back by its own platform. It’s for the die-hard fans who can tolerate the grind. For everyone else, it’s just another flashy distraction.
