The core loop here is actually quite addictive. Building a squad of monsters to repel 'heroes' is a fun subversion, and the tactical depth is surprising. It’s got that 'one more run' quality that a good roguelike needs.

That said, the visual direction is... questionable. It leans heavily into fan-service that I find distracting and unnecessary. It’s a shame because the mechanical foundation is strong. It’s also a bit grindy; the progression starts to crawl once you get past the initial honeymoon phase. It’s a solid time-waster, but I wish it took itself a bit more seriously.
