Let's call a spade a spade: this is mobile Splatoon. You paint the floor, you hide in the paint, you shoot the other guys. It’s a derivative concept, but to be fair, the execution isn't half-bad. The 'fluid simulation' they boast about is actually quite satisfying to look at, and the games are short enough to keep the pace up.
But as a 40-year-old gamer, I've seen these mobile clones come and go. It lacks the polish and the 'Nintendo magic' that makes the source material so addictive. The character customization is basic, and the team-play is mostly chaotic rather than tactical. It's a fun diversion if you don't own a Switch, but it’s a pale imitation of the real thing. It’s fine for a few rounds, but don't expect a deep community or long-term support.
