If I had a nickel for every pipe-fitting game on the App Store, I’d be able to afford a developer who could actually innovate. Flow Legends tries to dress up the ancient 'Pipe Dream' formula with a few 'Legendary' skins, but the core is as stale as a basement flood. The puzzles are solved by trial and error more often than actual logic, which defeats the purpose of the genre.

What really grates on me is the pacing. You finish a level in ten seconds, then you're hit with a thirty-second ad. You spend more time watching commercials than actually playing. The game is just a delivery vehicle for monetization. As a gamer who respects the craft, it's hard to see this as anything other than a cynical cash grab. The art style is loud and obnoxious, clearly aimed at children who don't know better.
