Look, I’ve seen this song and dance a hundred times since the Suika craze took over the eShop and App Store. Fruit Merge: Juicy Melon Puzzle is essentially a generic reskin of a mechanic that was perfected years ago. You drop fruit, they merge, you try not to overflow. It’s functional, I’ll give it that, but barely. The physics feel a bit floaty compared to the original, making those high-stakes maneuvers feel more like luck than actual skill.

I’ve spent enough decades gaming to know when a developer is just trying to catch a trend wave, and this is exactly that. There’s no secondary depth here—no interesting power-ups that make sense, no varied game modes that actually change the strategy, just the same loop until you hit a wall of ads or boredom. It’s fine for a five-minute wait at the doctor's office, but as a 'game'? It’s a tech demo at best. It’s hard to get excited about a game that feels like it was put together in a weekend using a template.
