Dinsun here. Game of Khans is a very specific type of 'empire sim' that focuses more on clicking buttons in menus than actual military strategy. The art is detailed, and the historical setting—while heavily romanticized—is a refreshing break from the usual medieval European fantasy. You spend most of your time managing resources, leveling up 'consorts,' and watching numbers go up. It’s a polished experience, but let’s be honest: it’s a reskin of 'Game of Sultans' or 'Be The King.'
If you enjoy that loop of constant rewards and incremental progress, this is one of the better ones. But as a gamer, I find the 'battle' aspect disappointing. It’s mostly automated; your stats do the fighting for you. There is no tactical positioning or real-time decision making during the horde battles. It’s a management game with a Mongol coat of paint. It’s fine for what it is, but don't expect 'Total War' on your phone.
