Another day, another 'tap and hold' simulator. Hair Dye! offers the bare minimum of player agency. You don't even really 'style' the hair; you just hold your thumb down until the bar fills up. The creative freedom is an illusion, as the game heavily nudges you toward specific 'perfect' scores that require zero effort to obtain. The graphics are dated, looking like something from the early 2010s. Like most of these hyper-casual titles, the real purpose of the app is to be an ad-delivery vehicle. You spend more time watching videos for other games than you do actually playing. It’s mindless, repetitive, and completely devoid of soul. My daughter might find this entertaining for ten minutes, but anyone over the age of six will find it insulting to their intelligence.
