Practically perfect
Sun Aug 08 2021 lesbian poetI’m not sure I’ve ever been more favorable towards a mobile game. The entirety of this game is borderline flawless and incredibly enjoyable. I first found the game after playing it on a friend’s phone and loved it, so I immediately installed it to my own and I’m so happy that I did. The gameplay his smooth and has never made me rage over buggy movements or mechanics, the graphics and animations are simply yet stunning, and, of course, the colors are gorgeous. The game is perfect for de-stressing after a long day; once you start playing, there’s very little to worry about other than moving the pretty little colors. I’m incredibly grateful for the option to disable showing the scores of you and other players as it also takes away from the stress of the game. Ads are few and far between which also adds to the relaxation factor, and the somewhat lack of ads also makes me more willing to watch them than other games that bombard you with extravagant advertisements at every turn. I also think the little story that you uncover while playing is super cool :D Overall, I totally recommend this to anyone who hasn’t played it, and thank you so much to the developers for creating such an outstanding game
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Sat Feb 26 2022 Swimmer2670I never leave reviews for games but I absolutely have to write one for this game. I’m an artist and I’ve been creating art since I could hold a crayon. For years I’ve been trying to find a game that is art based and let’s me test out different aspects of art in a fun way, but when it comes to games like that, I feel like none of them keep my attention for long. However, this game, is an absolute masterpiece!
It’s the first game where I’ve felt like there’s an appreciation for art while still teaching you an important aspect of art in an incredibly fun way! I don’t know if this was what that the developers set out to do, but regardless, its ingenuous.
I don’t think I can say thank you enough for such an absolutely gorgeous game that allows me to practice a skill I use almost every day. It’s so fun to test my ability in differentiating hues and connecting them to others. It’s so fun and it’s honestly addicting!
You guys are the best!
Fun but not challenging and repetitive
Wed Aug 10 2022 Carbonated SquidI downloaded this a month or two ago after playing I love hue on and off for years. I was expecting it to get gradually harder as you go but I’m 185 hearts in and each different section (a set with 16 levels) it’s pretty repetitive with not much change in difficulty as I was hoping. I compared three sections from the same group (there’s 3 sections in a group until you finish them and you unlock one more section until moving on to the next group) and they are the same format, very similar colors (in placement and vibrancy), and literally the patterns repeat the same way in each one (so you get 16 levels, and when you move to the next section the next 16 levels are in the same pattern). There is SOME difference in color occasionally but not really. I expected them to get harder with maybe less noticeable of a color gradient and different colors as you go and different shapes. I usually get the lowest amount of moves, and if I don’t it’s still always wayyy under the average. This is great for beginners or people who don’t play often, but I was hoping for something more challenging as you move up.
🤩BEST GAME🤩
Sat Jan 23 2021 Zap578I thought this would be another one of “Those Games”. You know the ones. The ones where it looks amazing until you play it and there’s an ad every three seconds? Yeah I was expecting that for this game. But I’ve been playing for a while, and I haven’t got any ads. And this game is FREEEEEEEEE. So I was expecting tons of ads. Good thing there’s none. The first two or three levels are too easy, but then they get more and more challenging (some people don’t like brain challenges, but I love them). This game is so addicting, relaxing, and helps you a bit to match colors to each other (which for digital artists and animators is a good skill to learn). I always find flaws to all games, but with examination to my limits on this game, I find no flaws. I could play this game for days straight, and I have no idea why anyone would give this anything but a 5 star. Maybe they don’t like being challenged? But I think this game couldn’t be more perfect.
Great game to chill out to - bug experience.
Wed Aug 16 2023 officious buttressLove the game. Nice relaxing title to unwind with, but I want to point out a potentially problematic bug. May be unrelated to the app or be an ios issue, but the bug occurred while playing the game.
Using Ipad, Gen 3 version 16.6 my ipad froze upon accidentally opening the search function while playing. The search function became stuck on screen and would not close. Swiping up to leave application or bring up passcode screen did not function. Bug persisted after turning screen off and on. Attempts to tap on results in search function as well as attempts to power down device led to no response. Device remained locked from all functions which would open applications or unlock, or shut down the device until the battery died. Again, it likely has as much to do with a bug in ios, but I figured I would note it anyway. Lovely game, still highly recommend it.
Magnificently Magical
Sat Apr 18 2020 🐈Kitty🐱girl🐈I just got this game because I played your first game and LOVED it! The geometric shapes that bend your mind are so satisfying to piece together, and I enjoy the illusions that you worked with to make the game! Also another thing I love is the pieces of story that come when you get to a new group of levels, though I wish you could look back and reread them again instead of just seeing them once. The music is so calming and adds to the feel of the game. I find it so fun to try to get the least moves possible, and the positive, self-love messages that you get when you complete a level just makes you want to keep going and beat all the levels! I definitely recommend this to puzzle-loving people who like a challenge, or artists (like me!) who want to get their color theory and sorts stronger.
P.S.
With the quarantine stuff going on this is great to play all day and forget everything else🥰
i changed my mind
Tue Aug 31 2021 the...consumerupdate: changing my review. it is now a three star rating, because they added so many ads and data tracking. it’s no longer feeling as artistic now that there’s ads that you cannot swipe out of. i’m probably going to delete it now.
old review: This game is even more beautiful and relaxing than the first. Only downside is that sometimes it feels like you have played a level before, but that’s not the case. The levels are beautiful and captivating and are puzzling too. It is guilt free gaming, and I have spent days playing. Thankfully, there are no ads (and when there are ads you can just swipe down to get rid of them) and the game has no disruptions. It is truly a peaceful game. now for my one question that i keep wanting to know: what are those symbols that use strokes of the letters that are in each word called? they mark each section of the game and have profound words. i cannot remember for the life of me what those symbols are called. overall a wonderful game! please get back to me!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love it, but it gets repetitive.
Fri Dec 13 2024 catlover7774I really like this game. Now, you may be questioning why I gave it 3 stars. The reason for that would be the repetitive levels and also the shear amount of them. While I really like this game, once you get to a certain level the difficulty doesn’t increase and it’s just the same levels over and over. I think I’m at level 803, and nothing new has been introduced, I really wish there was a bigger variety of type of levels; as I really want to finish this game, but it’s really hard when I’m just bored from doing the same things over and over again.
And like I mentioned, there’s sooooo many levels, it feels like there’s way too many. I mean I’ve had this game for over 2 years and played almost everyday at some point, but I’m only about half way. Maybe it wasn’t designed to be finish-able, but to always have content when you want to play? Anyway, I think it’s a fun game and concept, but it’s the kind of thing someone would delete after a week.

Thu Jul 18 2024 fear the dogeThis game is so nice to play in free time because i can just start and stop playing whenever i want. Theres so many levels too but theres not too many that you feel like you will never finish the game. I also like the background music because it's very soothing since theres no real direction of it and a melody fades in and out so it's up to your own interpretation but it still keeps you calm when the game gets harder. Theres no rush to finish anything and the colors are so satisfying when they mesh together when the level is completed. I recommend this game to anybody who wants something to fill their empty time instead of doomscrolling social media. It makes your mind so much more relaxed and prepared for your next task. It's not addicting, but I find myself coming back to it whenever I've got a little free time or an hour to kill. I am determined to finish this game.
Absolutely Mesmerizing.
Thu Sep 21 2023 iamabluedogyesI adore this so much and am so glad I got it in the first place. Not only is the experience of the game itself calming and therapeutic for me, but even the music [which you hear only if your ringer is on] is so calm and beautiful. As an artist, this game makes me feel so happy. It’s especially useful for artists because when you complete a level there’s a little camera thing at the top that you can click to see the color palette that you just puzzled together and screenshot it if you’d like. I can use these palettes for my art and the colors are beautiful as well as complementary to each other. This feels relaxing to play after a long day and a wonderful part is that I haven’t seen any ads as of yet, and I’ve been through 3-5 levels by now. Thank you so much for this absolute masterpiece, it exceeded my expectations wonderfully and I’m so glad it exists.
