Joust is a modern, hyper-casual take on the medieval tournament. It’s a game of precision and timing; you have to adjust the angle of your lance as you gallop toward your opponent to strike them in their weakest spot while shielding yourself. It’s a very satisfying physics-based experience—seeing an opponent fly off their horse after a perfectly placed hit never gets old.

The controls are simple: you swipe to move your lance up or down. The challenge comes from the 'clash' moment, where the physics engine determines the winner based on impact point and velocity. I liked the equipment progression—upgrading your armor and lance actually changes how you feel in a fight. While it's a bit repetitive, it's a great 'one-more-go' game that successfully captures the high-stakes feeling of a knightly duel.

I’ve always liked the idea of jousting in games, but this isn't it. It’s essentially a timing minigame that repeats itself ad nauseam. You tap to speed up, you drag to aim, you win, you buy a slightly shinier helmet. Wash, rinse, repeat. There’s no sense of weight or impact to the hits, and the physics feel floaty. It lacks the grit and drama of a real tournament. It’s a mobile game through and through—built for thirty-second bursts and nothing more. If you're looking for depth, you're at the wrong stable.
