Relaxing, but confusing at first
Thu Jul 28 2022 Crystal_640Really simple, short game and has relaxing music. I think the tutorial could be explained better; you have to tap INSIDE the little squares, not on the screen itself. Another thing is that you need to make sure you tap to the BEAT, not when you think the ball is going to go into the square. There is some delay in between, so go with the beat.
I had the same issues with playing the game at first like other reviews, but I think my performance slightly improved when I turned off the camera movement and zoom in the settings, so hopefully that works for you too.
Overall, I like the music and vibe of the game. It’s really simple and can be played at any time. You can re-play songs after you finish them in story mode and set different game rules for them, so there’s some replay-ability.
Some things I would suggest is definitely a redo of the tutorial section so people don’t get confused. It also feels like the story isn’t finished, and I’m not sure if the developer is planning on adding more info? I do wish more could be explained about the main character though. One last thing is a zen mode where you can play infinitely without strikes, which would be nice.
Pretty Awesome
Sat Jan 16 2021 _GameReview_I was skeptical at first at this game. I thought it would be bad. But once I got in it was kinda confusing at first. The ball would keep going through my paddle. But, I then realized that the ball comes at a beat. So you would tap at the same time as the best goes. Sometimes it’s kinda off. But really you want to hit the ball once it lands inside your little boxes on the bottom near your character. It was confusing at first. But once I got the hang of that. The levels were nice and challenging nothing to hard. Over all it was a pretty cool game. I loved the lofi music in the background. Very calm. If there were more levels to be added that would make it so much fun. I spent at least 25 minutes on this and already beat all the levels. Making more levels would be fun! Also would probably want some more clarification on the tutorial so people don’t get confused. But overall, fun game and I would recommend to anyone who’s bored and needs a little game. I for sure loved it.
Needs a better tutorial to be perfect
Wed Jun 19 2024 Chino AsencioIt’s irritating not being told what was wrong with the game until I came here and read someone’s review explaining that you have to tap inside the square on the beat itself to not get a strike, and to progress the game forward act as a metronome that’s deciding which square to hit at the exact moment a metronome would. Music is good, the story ran a lot deeper than expected for such a short game with little context, but overall explain the tutorial better people would love this game more
A masterpiece
Thu Jul 08 2021 UnnnhappppyI bought this game on PC, Nintendo Switch and iOS, the difficulty is quite different across platforms, on PC there is no room for mistake, but there are more info about the storyline, you can check messages in the phone and the menu is a train stop. On switch you get 3 chances like iOS, but slightly more difficult than iOS because touching the screen is the most intuitive way of control. Overall this game is a piece of art, it’s just that the song list seems incomplete, the last song is called acceptance and it’s not in the player once you beat the game, maybe you can unlock more songs by getting higher scores, just my guess.
Underrated.
Thu May 06 2021 hahamoogatimIt was difficult for me to get used to the game initially, but once I got the hang of it, it was fun. A lot of the negative reviews written for this game are generally from people that gave up, didn’t take the time to learn how to play the game, or got frustrated. It is challenging, I can tell you that, but it is definitely a game worth playing.
This game is worth the dollar in my opinion, but there should be a free trial option for the people that are unsure. Maybe then, the game will be recognized for how great it is.
Fun for the price
Sun Nov 12 2023 inbadgamingI got it for free, but this game is usually 0.99 cents, which is still pretty cheap.
Pros:
The pricing, fair, but also reasonable
The gameplay, reminds me of an old bemani title, something along the lines of reflecbeat, which the ball bouncing around the table.
The music, I don't listen to much lofi, but I can groove to this music, so it's aight. I like Kovox Pitch's (the other rhythm game made by the dev, it's only on steam though) music a lot more though. (Favorite track: forever)
The art style, the menus look like they've been pulled from an old computer os, and the art itself is crisp and smooth. (Fits the music too!)
The cons:
Judgement is sound based, which I like (it is a rhythm game after all!) but the judgement strays from when the ball hits the judgement line (this can be patched!)
Tl;dr: it's good for the price, but it does have an issue which does take you out of the flow state.
4.5/5 good job!
Great vibe
Tue Dec 22 2020 luke chaseThe core gameplay of this game is great, it has good art, it’s fun to play, and I liked the majority of the music. It’s a great vibe overall. The story, however, is practically nonsensical; at least in English. It’s just a bunch of non connected phrases by different characters. The opponent you’re up against also doesn’t change who you play against in the actual game. I enjoy playing through the story mode, but the “story” aspect of that mode is defiantly where I’d appreciate some more work put in.
Phenomenal WIP
Mon Apr 05 2021 Awesome doctorThis game is great, and honestly one of the best simple pick-up and play apps out there. It’s not overly complicated. It knows what it is and does a great job with it. It’s a great little rhythm game, perfect for mobile. It could definitely use more songs, the story mode is a bit odd and really short, and the app display is really awkward at least on iPhone 12, but it’s still a really novel experience that I can’t wait to see the future of. Definitely worth the $0.99 and download.
Best One Dollar I’ve Spent
Mon Dec 21 2020 illogicallyuI came across this scrolling across the App Store page just yesterday, and saw this little gem. It looked like an interesting concept (and I’ve been a little more involved with rhythm games lately), so I bought it. Didn’t play it today and, I have to say, it’s a fun, relaxing, and yet invigorating game! Controls are simple, and it’s up to you to sync yourself to the beat. Definitely worth spending money on <3
This IS AN ELITE IPHONE GAME
Sat Feb 20 2021 Jamfak62Now I’m not one to write a review but seeing that this game was a 3.3 star was baffling to me because back before all the major company’s made games and started the whole pay to win systems. Games like these are a treasure a simply enjoyable game and if people didn’t like it was most likely it probably was because they the creator hasn’t made enough content on the game yet but slowly there will be more.
