Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but this is just lazy. Monster Trainer takes the Pokémon formula and boils it down until it’s flavorless. You walk through a hallway, tap a monster to catch it (no strategy involved), and then watch a basic auto-battle. There’s no world-building, no sense of adventure, and the monster designs are remarkably uninspired.
It feels like a game made by a committee that looked at a chart of what kids like and checked all the boxes. 'Monsters? Yes. Catching? Yes. Bright colors? Yes.' But they forgot the fun. The frequency of ads is, as expected, egregious. If you want a real creature-catching game, play the original or something like Coromon. This is just a cheap knock-off for the short-attention-span generation.
