Neodori Forever is a textbook case of style over substance. It looks fantastic—if you're into that saturated 80s neon aesthetic—and the soundtrack is genuinely great. But as a racer, it’s lacking. The drifting mechanics feel inconsistent; sometimes you’re a pro, other times the car just slides into a wall with no clear reason why. The procedural generation is a double-edged sword; while every race is 'new,' they all start to look and feel identical after 20 minutes. It captures the look of the arcade era but forgets that those games were fun because of their tight, deliberate design. This feels a bit too loose and aimless. I wanted to love it, but I just ended up bored.
