Look, it’s FreeCell. If you’ve worked in an office at any point since 1995, you know the drill. Odesys provides a stable enough platform for it, but it lacks any sort of modern ambition. The interface feels like a relic from the early iPhone 3G era, which I suppose matches its release date, but in 2026, I expect more than just the bare minimum. The automation is helpful, but the 'hints' are often more distracting than useful for a seasoned player.

I’ve played thousands of hands of solitaire across various systems, and this version just feels sterile. It lacks the tactile satisfaction of better-produced digital card games. It does exactly what it says on the tin and nothing more. If you're looking for a distraction while waiting for a bus, it works, but don't expect to be impressed.

FreeCell is an open solitaire, where all cards are dealt face up. The board consists of four free cells, four home cells and eight columns. The goal is to place all 52 cards in the home cells, forming four stacks, one for each suit, in ascending order from ace to king. Moves to a column must be made in descending order, alternating colors. Only the cards at the bottom of the columns or in the free cells can be moved. A free cell can contain no more than one card at a time.
