Dinsun Review
I've played some great idle games in my time—'Cookie Clicker' had wit, 'Adventure Capitalist' had a soul. Orbital Money has neither. It’s a very dry, very mechanical clicking simulator that uses a space theme as a thin veneer for a standard 'number go up' loop. There’s no interesting prestige system, no clever writing, and the visual feedback is incredibly underwhelming. You're basically just watching a progress bar fill up in a void.
The pacing is off. You hit a wall very early where the next upgrade costs a ridiculous amount, clearly signaling that you should either watch an ad or spend money to progress. It doesn't respect the player's time, even for an idle game. It feels like it was put together in a weekend using a 'My First Idle Game' template. There’s no reason to choose this over the hundreds of more polished idle titles available.
