Pilot Life is a fantastic flight simulator that manages to bridge the gap between 'hardcore sim' and 'accessible arcade.' Many mobile flight games are either too complex to enjoy on a touch screen or too simple to feel like flying. Pilot Life finds the sweet spot with a physics engine that feels weighty and responsive, but a control scheme that doesn't require a real pilot's license to understand.

The mission variety is what kept me coming back. One minute you're landing a commercial jet in a crosswind, and the next you're performing a daring rescue in a helicopter. The 3D environments are expansive, and the weather effects—especially the thunderstorms—add a genuine layer of challenge. It’s a great way to experience the 'pilot life' without leaving your couch.

Don't be fooled by the '3D' in the title; this looks like it was made fifteen years ago. The ground textures are blurry messes, and the physics are laughable. Calling this a 'simulator' is an insult to actual simulation software. A plane shouldn't feel like a shopping cart in the air.

The 'career' mode is just a series of tedious checklists that add nothing to the experience. It’s a classic example of an app built for SEO rather than quality. If you want to fly, save your time and go buy a real flight sim on PC. This is just a hollow shell with an airplane icon.
