Pilot Life is a fantastic flight simulator that manages to bridge the gap between 'hardcore sim' and 'accessible arcade.' Many mobile flight games are either too complex to enjoy on a touch screen or too simple to feel like flying. Pilot Life finds the sweet spot with a physics engine that feels weighty and responsive, but a control scheme that doesn't require a real pilot's license to understand.

The mission variety is what kept me coming back. One minute you're landing a commercial jet in a crosswind, and the next you're performing a daring rescue in a helicopter. The 3D environments are expansive, and the weather effects—especially the thunderstorms—add a genuine layer of challenge. It’s a great way to experience the 'pilot life' without leaving your couch.

Tips

The Perfect Landing

Speed control is key. As you approach the runway, lower your landing gear and reduce your throttle to about 25%. Keep the nose slightly up (the 'flare') just before touchdown to ensure a smooth landing and avoid damaging the gear.
