Lovely!
Tue Feb 27 2024 Ken-JohnIf you’ve played any other NimbleBit pocket games, this is fairly similar. This game has a fun progression and can require some strategy to ensure you’re maximizing profits. I would like to see a map view of job listings. Right now job listings for a city are jumbled together which makes it difficult to find an optimal path. That may be on purpose, but it seems like more of an annoyance than a feature. If we could view the job listings on the map, that would make sending out my 30 trucks a lot easier and faster. I find myself giving up and closing the app after sending only a handful of trucks because it’s annoying and time consuming to send them from the list.
Great concept. Needs tons of work.
Fri Mar 22 2024 rickrossgowerpowerThe idea of the game is great, the best of the games from NimbleBit in my opinion. However, there are many flaws that still need work. The routes and shipping orders are fun and so is unlocking new cities and obtaining more trucks for your fleet. Once you reach a certain level though (around level 15, not even high) everything starts to stall. You can’t find orders to fill your larger trucks no matter how much you upgrade a city. It’s very annoying to have a 20-30 truck fleet and only have orders for the half. Unlike other NitBit games like pocket planes or trains, the refresh time is every thirty minutes instead every five or ten minutes, causing you to spend tons of Bux to do so. I guess the hole is you spend real money for more Bux…not sure. The parts and scrap aspect of the game makes no sense and I haven’t found anyone else who can make sense of its purpose. The steep, icy, or tolled roads seem pointless in buying as all it does is add time and decrease profits on those deliveries. It makes more sense to just not purchase and avoid those roads. The amount of “extra rewards” you get for traveling roads is not very many considering the amount of road/cities unlocked. Again a stall. Overall, it’s a great idea and concepts as stated before, it just has some kinks it needs worked out. NimbleBit normally doesn’t disappoint so I expect them to get it right :)
Lots of bugs unusual for Nimblebit
Sun Apr 07 2024 3DogKnightLongtime fan of Nimblebit but this one is a buggy mess so far. Frequently unable to put items on layover, even when there is room in the city. If you kill the app and reload, then it works, which is a sign there is something corrupted in the game and not just user error. Ads don’t appear even when you are quested for viewing ads, which also prevents you from doing all daily quests to get credit for a complete day on the weekly quest. Truck upgrades and scrapping items is also unclear; need better help lesson to explain why it keeps giving me a red ! symbol when there are no upgrades to be had. UI loses its place when you cycle trucks — if you have several at rest, like when you start playing a new session, then when you send one truck to a destination, it tends to put you back on your first truck again rather than letting you hit the arrow to your next truck. That wastes a lot of time recycling through your fleet repeatedly. It errs out when attempting to link account, so no reward. The link to the Discord is invalid. Turning off sound doesn’t work. Your truck list shows incorrect load eligibility. Other buggy, unclear, or annoying stuff but overall this game shows promise but isn’t fully baked yet.
Finally!!!
Wed Feb 21 2024 Wyvern Slayer 626I have been hoping and waiting that they would come out with a truck game. One complaint I have is you can’t take older vehicles off the road. I love being able to get the smaller trucks, but when you get to some of the bigger ones, you don’t need the horse and buggy. Now I’m loading almost 20 vehicles. I’d rather be able to take them out of commission and run the big rigs.
Pocket Trains Route Evolution
Wed Feb 14 2024 GooooBadgers72The game name needs to remove “Route Evolution” because once you reach level 50 the game comes to a screeching halt. You no longer get a key when moving up a level in experience so it takes 5 days to get a single city. Creating or expanding a route is now a months long process. I enjoyed the game prior to level 50. I could see real progress as I played but not now. The game has also removed the random keys that would appear which agains slows the game down. This game also needs a FAQ. How do the scrap and parts components of this game even work? How much longer do we need to wait for the “Coming Soon” Pocket Pass to activate? This game was fun for the first 50 levels but now needs serious work for me to keep playing.
Great Start
Sat Feb 17 2024 crankCallsObviously if you love Pocket Planes or Trains, this is also for you. Trucks look really good, hopefully we get to see more added to the game. A couple suggestions:
The UI is a little off. You can’t see cargo info, trip mileage, the adding cargo just feels clunky to me, maybe that’s personal but it’s just my experience. Only getting one of each truck makes a little bit of sense, but not really any at all? I guess it depends on the direction of the game, are you going to allow us to purchase multiple of one truck type or will we get a few more truck models to work with. Appreciate getting a game with trucks. Thanks for many years of enjoyable games Nimblebit 🫡
Overall, awesome game
Wed Feb 28 2024 EastG2003I love playing this game and seeing all the options for routes and trucks. My only wish is that there were more opportunities to collect city keys, as it really slows down the progress when going to new places. I also wish there were more cities, some that I think are missing are Knoxville TN, Roanoke VA, Concord NH, St. George UT, Bentonville AR, and Moline IL just to make a few. I also wish the routes were more realistic, like i70 going into Utah and connecting to Salt Lake or something, and i80 stayin in Nebraska and going into Wyoming. Small details but can change the way the game feels
Only problem I have.
Sun Mar 17 2024 Lscott2002Game is great, fun to play and I love the idea. The only problem I have is that there are too many cities that don’t produce enough jobs. I have 15 or so trucks and I have unlocked 23 cities. I have to go to every single city to try and find jobs, even for my smaller trucks. If more jobs were produced, especially in the bigger cities, that would be great.
Tantalizingly almost awesome
Fri Mar 22 2024 jkgood56Has some fun differences to pocket planes, bit also some frustrating downsides-needs some improvements. Some parts of the game are just mystifying with no explanation (does anyone know how to use scrap) and I question some of the balancing metrics. (It’s hard to fill up the intermediate sized trucks is there even a point to the semis?) this is still a very new game so hopefully they’ll work some of this out over time. Love the graphics and the USA map.
This game makes me think Nimblebit is broke
Tue Dec 31 2024 coopernickI grew up on Nimblebit games and mobile games in general. I know the microtransaction hustle. But man, just seeing how much of this game feels like it wants you to put down real money or watch ads kinda bums me out. Dipping my toes back into Pocket Trains and Pocket Planes makes Pocket Trucks just seem like it’s trying to get you to pay up and some of the things you need to pay for are egregious. Why do I need to pay for VIP to fully upgrade my trucks??
