Our Site Score

88/100

Punch TV is a masterpiece of retro-style sports management. It perfectly captures the gritty, 'Rocky'-esque vibe of boxing with its pixel art and synth-wave soundtrack. What makes it special is the depth of the simulation; you aren't just choosing 'train' or 'fight,' you are carefully balancing your boxer's fatigue, morale, and physical stats while trying to stay financially solvent.

The fight simulation itself is tense. Even though you aren't throwing the punches, watching your fighter execute the strategy you planned is nerve-wracking and incredibly rewarding when it works. It’s a love letter to 90s management sims and a must-play for sports fans who prefer strategy over twitch-reflexes.

Dinsun Review

I was hoping for something like Punch Club, but Punch TV is much more interested in the 'business' of boxing than the actual sport. The management side is passable, but it’s mostly just clicking buttons to make progress bars move faster. The actual fights are largely hands-off, which is a letdown. I want to be the one throwing the punch, or at least making tactical calls during the round.

It feels like a game made for people who like spreadsheets more than sports. The presentation is okay, trying to mimic a cable sports broadcast, but it wears thin after the tenth fight. It’s not terrible, it’s just... boring. There's no tension. You either have the stats to win or you don't. It’s another title that relies too much on idle mechanics to stretch out the 'content.' If you're a serious boxing fan, go play Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! instead.
