The gameplay is the classic 'button-mashing' style, but it’s balanced well enough that it feels like a test of skill rather than just a stress test for your screen.

Events like the 100m sprint and the long jump are easy to pick up but surprisingly hard to master, especially when aiming for world records. My only grip is that some events feel slightly repetitive, but the local multiplayer potential makes up for it. It's a fantastic throwback that reminds us why simple mechanics paired with great style can be so addictive. It’s pure, unadulterated arcade fun that fits perfectly in your pocket.

I grew up with Track & Field on the NES, so I appreciate the aesthetic here. But nostalgia only carries a game so far. Once you’ve mashed your way through the 100m sprint once, you’ve basically seen everything the game has to offer.

It’s a novelty title. The pixel art is fine, but the gameplay is shallow and can actually be physically painful if you play too long. It’s a decent little time-waster for a few minutes, but it’s not something you’ll keep on your phone for a month. It’s a shallow tribute to a better era.
