Dinsun Review
Dinsun here. Now this is a proper game. It's weird, it's difficult, and it doesn't hold your hand—which is exactly how I like it. The SaGa series has always been the black sheep of Square's library, and this remaster is the definitive way to play it. Adding the cut content for Fuse makes the narrative feel much more cohesive.
The 'glimmer' mechanic in combat—where heroes learn moves mid-fight—is still one of the best ideas in JRPG history. However, the non-linear nature means you will get lost. You will hit brick walls. This isn't a game for people who want a guided tour; it’s for those who want to master a complex system. My only gripe is the UI can feel a bit 'mobile-port' even though it’s a full-price title.
