Obsessed
Fri Apr 04 2025 kena.kushI have been playing this game for a few weeks now and I can’t seem to stop. The stories leave you invested in Rowan and the island of Kryphos. Helping Rowan and her friends restore the village through matching feels very rewarding. Not to mention, the rumors are true; absolutely no ads! There’s not even the option to watch ads for bonus gifts! Of course there are in app purchases to speed up the process, but they’re not actually necessary to play the game.
My one complaint is this: it seems like the game knows what item you are merging for, and decreases your odds of getting certain items from their main object. For instance, the paper press can give you paper or brochures. When you’re going for paper, it will spit either out at seemingly normal odds (I’d say roughly 70/30 in favor of the paper.) But when you need a brochure, it suddenly drops to something closer to 90/10, again in favor of the paper. I guess it wouldn’t be surprising if this was done on purpose to promote in app sales for energy, but it’s still frustrating.
Over all, wonderful game.
Love love love Game, but NEEDS more Energy or Gems
Fri Jan 24 2025 MayanizedI love this game, I am at level 192. Once in a while, you’re able to play for extended times and that is usually due to the mini games that they have going on at the same time. They seem to earn quicker rewards, but only some of them help you earn faster. After a while you figure out which one’s do and which ones don’t. I really like the bingo and I like the train. Fairground’s and a couple others (sorry not remembering the names) where you turn in two items at a time down the list seem to be just a waste of your energy, it takes too long to earn those items for such a small reward. The bigger reward is at the end, but seems almost impossible to get through by the time it ends (I don’t think I’ve ever gotten the reward so I stopped playing those mini games). I do think you should earn energy and gems quicker so that if you choose to play longer, you may. Many times I’m forced to stop playing because I just don’t have enough energy so then I have to go to a different game while I’m waiting. Maybe earning them at a quicker time/rate would be better or just more frequent rewards. When you’re waiting for a bubble to pop and it gives you one coin when it was a high item seems kind of a letdown. I do enjoy the Mini stories and it’s a pretty soothing game. I like that it does not make me anxious. Thanks for providing a great game, just wish those few things were a little better.
I Really Like This Game, But…….
Fri Mar 01 2024 Evony77I really like this game but it is definitely a money stealer. The energy that you have to use just to make the merges are ridiculous. Then once you get so far there is another merge category thrown in and then you have all these different areas open for merging and no energy to be able to form what you need or space to form them. If you make the mistake of selling or getting rid of what you need then you have to build that item all the way back up. I have spent so much money just within the last two weeks trying to get the items that the customers and the game are requesting and that’s with me being a pretty good strategist, I feel! If it wasn’t for that this game would be so much better for that reason alone I’m going to eventually have to erase the game, at this point I’ve put out more money in this game then the cost of a utility in my home. There’s not enough perks for that amount of money that I’m spending to play it, it wraps you up pulls you in and then and then you run out of energy. One good perk about it is there is little to no ads but in order to play this game successfully you will pay dearly for that perk! Whoever came up with the plot for this game truly did there job. So this is really a fun game but in order to successfully play you have to Pay! So for that reason is why I gave the game 3 stars it is really a 2 but I do like this game.
Fun at first but….
Thu Dec 07 2023 Ghostbusters10This game is so fun at first but at a certain point you won’t be able to fulfill any orders for days because it’s sooo tedious. I don’t mind the tasks being hard but this is ridiculous. I’m on level 38 so I’ve been playing a while but the only thing to do is merge so if you run out of energy that’s it, a waiting game. I personally don’t spend any money on games like these and this game is designed for you to get frustrated and spend the money constantly. As you progress you will only get hard orders that don’t rlly give you anything in return, for instance 1 order can sometimes take 200 pieces of energy and only give out 2 building boxes which in turn will only give you two tools (if you’re lucky)that you have to wait to use. It takes any where from 3-5pieces of each tool to go with the story because to progress in the story you must build and I don’t even follow the story!! So as I progress the game is becoming unappealing and I definitely won’t be spending money to gain energy because it’ll just be a waste! I’ve been playing for a while and waited to give my review but this is the gist, they start you off slow and free but as you level up you’ll be on an order for a while if you don’t spend money. Even with spending money you’ll just be throwing it away cause again it’s so tedious and the merging takes forever when it’s a higher level item which it usually is as u progress. Honestly about to say goodbye to this game because it’s just not worth it
Scam
Mon Sep 23 2024 RoyjacI downloaded this game after seeing tik tok videos promoting it by showing a tile game. There is even a picture of the tile game on the game description page, but I am on level 179 and have never seen this game. The only reason I’m on level 179 is because the game is designed to be highly addictive and to try and squeeze as much money out of its users as possible by making the game impossible without buying bundle packages of rewards. As you go up in levels the difficulty increases exponentially, but rewards do not. Top tier items are required to fill most orders that take hundreds of energy points and sometimes days to fill. Energy caps out at 100 (which will buy you nothing) and it takes 2 minutes to earn 1 energy point. This is not a game you can sit down to play for an hour at night before bed. If you actually like playing this game, you must log on several times a day to make sure that your energy doesn’t reach 100 so you can continue to earn. It takes 3 hours and 20 minutes to earn 100 energy points and probably less than 5 minutes to burn through it and still not reaching the level item you are trying to create. I’ve also noticed that it purposely withholds rare items when you need them to fulfill an order and the minute the order is filled they will give the rare item easily. It feels rigged to get you to buy more stuff.
It was ok until it wasn’t
Tue Mar 19 2024 JA.ShayAt first, this game was a really good game. Super fun, maybe even a little addictive. After a few days of playing, I started noticing whenever I spent rubies in the game to unlock bubble items within the game half the time it would take my gems and not give me the item. The first couple of times it was fine because it was only less than 10 rubies I was using. For some reason when I started attempting to pop some of the higher value bubbles (20+ rubies each) it would take the gems and not give me the reward 100% of the time. Upon reaching out to support about this issue I was told I’ve “never used rubies to purchase bubbles prior to reaching out” which was completely incorrect. Yes it’s just a game and yes (thankfully) I didn’t spend my money to purchase said rubies that were stolen from me, however I’d much rather not play a game where someone from support is going to flat out tell me I’m a lier when its simply rubies that were earned within the game that ended up being stolen by the game. All they had to do was hear me out and fix the problem or just say there was no way to confirm the situation instead of accusing someone of lying about their game glitching.
It get stagnant…
Thu Mar 07 2024 randomHalIt got me interested up to level 30, kept trying up to level 32 and I think I’m done. I don’t spend money on these types of games never have and most likely never will, so that is a factor to take into consideration. It makes it challenging to advance if you don’t spend money. Storage becomes an issue, you don’t know what to keep or what to throw away in case you are asked for it in the future to fulfill the “orders”. The energy stays on 100 but the items to merge becomes more and more complicated so that only lasts for a few minutes and the you have to wait for another couple of hours to refill. Sometimes, the needed item won’t come until after a ridicule amount of other unnecessary items that consumes your energy come up. Too many side little games that will barely give you energy, coins or diamonds. Paying diamonds for everything but then barely getting any. Again, it’s designed to keep you hooked long enough so then you feel like you have/need to spend $ bc of all the time you put into it. I’m not like that, I know I have a choice and I like to put money into something more fruitful…and of course eventually my time.
Decent app but still growing pains
Thu Feb 02 2023 LadyMReddI enjoy the other apps by this company, but this one doesn’t feel like it’s gotten all the kinks worked out yet. For example, on Gossip Harbor the things you have to build will range from high level/longer builds to fairly quick, so you’re always meeting goals while also working on longer term goals. They are also well spread out across the different things that produce. But this one often has just 3 goals you’re working on and they all are very high level items and it feels like a grind to get to them. They also don’t spread out what produces the items you’re working for, so most of the things I haven’t had to merge in a long time. The daily challenge goals to earn coins (earn $x in a day) are so out of reach of what’s possible that there’s no point in trying. In Gossip Harbor the daily goals are all feasible.
I don’t know if they don’t have enough levels yet, so they’re trying to slow us down, or if they haven’t figured out how to program it to give a decent variation of goals. But I’m finding that it’s more frustrating than fun. Which is a shame, because they do a good job with the graphics and story.
Boy Do I have A Game That’s Not For You!
Wed Feb 14 2024 Kasey fImagine you’re at work… and you see an ad for a game that sparks your interest. They let you play the game for 2.54 seconds. You enjoy it. “This is fun,” you think to yourself. You look at your work email to find its slow so you jump off the deep end and download the app. You decide to be productive and answer some work emails, then reward yourself with a 5 minute game break. (Life is all about balance, remember that.) Within the first 3 minutes and 28 seconds, you discover that the ad was all a lie. The game you downloaded has absolutely no correlation with the ad. You decide to do some investigating. Upon reviewing the App Store, you find the picture that looks just like the ad… attached to the game that is nothing like the ad. Suddenly you don’t believe in people anymore. There’s no truth to what you’re getting. You start to question life and where you went wrong. You’re sweating and shaking all at the same time. How do you survive life? You can’t. It’s all a lie…
I had more fun writing this review than I actually did playing the game that was falsely advertised. Hey marketers? Go back to university. I don’t know what cereal box gave you your degree, but I’d ask for a return. Marketing 101… Market the RIGHT product. You’re no better than credit card scammers.
Great game but needs improvement
Wed Mar 19 2025 depstubI’ve been playing this game religiously for a long time now and for the majority of my time playing it, it’s consistently been my favorite merge game out there. However, game developers have gotten greedy in recent updates. Energy is extremely expensive and goes very quickly. It’s not easy to obtain gems which is what you need to purchase energy (20 gems for 100 energy and 30 gems for a bucket of energy which typically yields slightly more than 100). Historically, I’ve purchased the upgraded monthly pack to increase the return on my rewards but I’m finding that this isn’t an effective way to offset the cost of energy. Back when they offered daily freebies, I was able to spend up to an hour playing the game. Now, I can only play for a minute or 2 before my energy is completely depleted, and since gems are hard to rack up, the only option is to spend real money. The developers charge you up to $20 for approximately 2300 energy which sounds like a lot but it’s really not. With the energy boost activated at x4 or above, you can fly through that in under 5 minutes.
And developers - please stop spamming your players with one thousand pop ups at login. It’s actually deterred me from playing on numerous occasions.
