Dinsun Review
We have reached a point in mobile gaming where we are literally just clicking 'sneaker' when the ground turns brown and 'heel' when the ground turns pink. That’s it. That is the entire experience. It’s a hypercasual title from the Voodoo school of design, which means it’s essentially an ad-delivery platform disguised as a 10-second gameplay loop.
There is no depth. There is no strategy. It’s a race against an AI that is clearly programmed to let you win most of the time to keep your dopamine levels high enough to watch the next 30-second ad for a different, equally mindless game. As a 40-year-old, I find this offensive to the medium. It’s junk food for the brain that doesn't even taste good. The only reason to 'play' this is if you are trying to enter a vegetative state while waiting for the microwave to finish.
