It’s rare to find a mobile game these days that doesn't feel like it’s trying to pick your pocket. Sine is a breath of fresh air—you pay once, and you get the whole game. No ads, no 'energy bars,' just pure, difficult gameplay. The mechanics are simple: you control the amplitude and frequency of a sine wave to avoid obstacles. It sounds easy, but the later levels are absolutely brutal. It requires a level of precision that we don't see often on touchscreens.
The aesthetic is gorgeous in its simplicity, and the soundtrack is genuinely good—I actually recommend using headphones for this one. It’s not a game for everyone; if you frustrate easily, you’re going to hate this. But if you appreciate a challenge that feels fair and a presentation that’s clearly had a lot of love put into it, Sine is a winner. My only minor complaint is that the difficulty curve can feel like a vertical wall at times, but that’s the nature of the beast.
