Slayin is a little game that is shockingly entertaining. It has a surprising amount of replay ability despite its repetitiveness. The game is a some what of a mix between a shoot-em up and an endless runner, with the player being tasked to survive eight consecutive areas with a stage boss fight for each. The repetition comes from having to restart each time you die, and getting back to where you were can take a long time. However I was never too put off by this since there is a quite a bit off variety with the six unlockable characters and the in-level weapon and armor upgrades. It's simply a blast to go through and try to master every character and their weapons. There's also two extra unlockable modes to give the game more content. I was initially a bit worried about the microtransactions being too intrusive, but I never felt pressured into spending more money. Slayin may be short and repetitive, but dang if it isn't one of the best uses for a dollar out there.

★★★★★ Nearly Perfect Game

I love this game! I remember it being one of the OG mobile games on the App Store and absolutely adored it when I was a kid. I eventually deleted it to clear up space since I don’t really play games as often anymore. Recently, I went on vacation and had some down time, so I went ahead and gave it another try. Immediately, the controls felt natural and I fell in love with it all over again. The controls are very smooth, the concept is impeccable, and the gameplay is so casual, yet exciting. I can never get enough of it. However, I do have a couple suggestions: I completely prefer the Alt BGM, but the boss and menu music stays the same. The transitions this way are super awkward, so maybe some alternate music for each section could be purchased or something. Also, for Boss Rush mode, it would be cool if between each boss or maybe between every couple bosses, you can meet with the merchant and get some special items specific to the mode. Otherwise, I absolutely love this game, and hope to see more updates!!

It’s an amazing game, bringing back a memory that I have loved: Arcade Games. It’s a fun game to play on road trips, because it’s so dang fun and it’s a time killer. I know this will get buried in the reviews, and if you’re seeing this right now, you should buy it. I have had it for about a week now and I can’t stop playing. Also, to any parents trying to see if their kid could play this game, I am an 11 year old myself and I think it’s perfect for any age. It sounds like a violent game, but it’s really not. You fight monsters, but it’s an pixelated platformer. You get fame points for playing the game, and those can be used to get better items in the game. Overall, it’s a fun, kid-friendly, arcade, platformer game. Like I said, it’s super fun and good for road trips. The main part of the game is fighting monsters, but it is not bloody or gory in any way. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to play a fun mobile game. Have fun with the game!!!!!! 😁

This is better than FEZ Minecraft fifa or anything. This is WELL WORTH 0.99. I would buy this for 5$ even!!! This game has a huge variety of characters (6) and there are 3 modes as well as the fact it took me a LONG time to get everything in the shop. It took me months and to this day it’s still fun to try to beat my high score!!! It is endless and almost 100% of the time entertaining. Something else is that there are almost 0 bugs and even when you lose for some reason it’s not enraging. For some reason it just makes you want to play another round. No matter how long you play it’s fun and non rage inducing. It’s an amazing game and the characters all have there own unique dynamic and skills as well as weapons, you should DEFINITELY download this game.

★★★★★ My Favorite Game

Slayin has been my favorite mobile game for years. I’ve had three phones since its release, and I’ve unlocked all the characters and extra stuff on each of them. I’ve beat the game plenty of times (well, beat the dragon, don’t think you can really “beat” Slayin), and it’s never gotten stale. I actually plan on majoring in Computer Science next year, and Slayin is a major inspiration for that. It would be an absolute dream come true if one day Slayin got another major update, maybe even a new character. I’d definitely even be willing to shell out a few bucks for an upgrade to support the devs *wink wink*. Thank you for creating such a great game. Edit: Ninja’s Shurikin Storm makes her player model invisible and glitchy. Fix?

★★★★★ Fun, to a degree

I enjoy playing this game every now and again, but I always end up deleting it. The mechanics are rather simple and the starting heroes are easy to get a feel for the game with. I enjoy the bright colors and vibrant scenery, and figuring out how to equip my character is always fun. However, as I gain new heroes I tend to lose interest. They simply don’t feel worth the effort, and even the classics don’t feel as entertaining because every level I have to work my way up again as if there were no improvements. While the mode that allows a later starting level should fix this, I feel that it drops my character into a situation they aren’t prepared for and even if I’m well practiced at the game I die quickly. I definitely enjoy playing, but it eventually loses its entertainment and becomes repetitive instead.

★★★★★ Amazing! but a big problem

I’ve been playing this game for a few years and it’s great! The best game i have on my phone mainly because of the absence of ads which is nice. Controls are easy to learn but the game can become really difficult. The main bug i keep on getting is when i’m playing ninja and i buy the golden kunai, after trying to use it, i go completely invisible and it gives me no power up to use. Hopefully they will fix it soon if they are even still updating the game but overall it is great.
