Sneezies HD remains one of the most soothing yet addictive 'chain reaction' games on the App Store. The premise is delightfully absurd: you drop a pinch of sneezing powder onto a field of floating 'Sneezies' (cute, bubble-trapped creatures), and watch as they sneeze out of their bubbles, triggering their neighbors to do the same. The HD version on iPad is a visual treat, featuring high-fidelity backgrounds and much smoother particle effects than its phone predecessor.

What makes Sneezies a standout is the perfect marriage of audio and visual feedback. The 'achoo' sounds are adorable rather than annoying, and the relaxing background music creates a Zen-like atmosphere. It’s the kind of game that rewards patience and strategic placement rather than frantic tapping. While the gameplay loop is simple, the various modes—including a challenging 'Target' mode and a relaxing 'Free Play'—provide enough variety to keep it installed for years.

I've seen a thousand 'chain reaction' games since the early days of Flash gaming. Sneezies doesn't bring anything new to the table other than some 'cute' aesthetics that wear thin after five minutes. The game basically plays itself once you tap the screen. There's no strategy, no tactical consideration, just luck and basic timing. It's the kind of game you play while waiting for a bus and then immediately forget once you've boarded. The HD version just makes the lack of substance look slightly sharper. It's fine for what it is, but calling this a 'must-play' is an insult to games that actually require effort. It's competent, sure, but it's remarkably hollow.
