Fun but way too many ads
Thu Feb 27 2025 Bear_08Ok so this is definitely my favorite mobile solitaire game. One, it’s customizable(I personally use the blue table with the jellyfish card backs) and two, it’s just pure solitaire. No power ups or pay to win. My one issue is that I get two ads after every game, one after the game win animation plays, and one after it plays the exp animation. I get that ads are what helps support the game and keeps it f2p however I’m usually able to complete the round in a minute or so, so it gets really annoying when it feels like you’re watching more ads than playing the game. I’d suggest either letting the player make a one time purchase to disable ads, and or adding an ad cooldown so that players aren’t spending more time watching ads than playing the game.
I LOVED this game, but…
Fri Feb 16 2024 TheIncrediSteveI used to love this game. But the ads… I understand ads for a free game, I do, and it doesn’t bother me to have ads. When I started playing this game, there was only two ads after you finished a game. The “x” to exit each ad is really small and quite frustrating because I end up clicking on the ad and having to close the window and try again 4 or 5 times but I get through it.
My problem is recently the number of ads have increased dramatically. Every time the game gets paused you have to go through two ads with those extremely small exit buttons. Get a text message while playing? Another round of ads. You don’t even have to open the text. Swap from WiFi to mobile data? Ads again. Screen turn off or a second? Ads again. Oh, a phone call came in? More ads. Taking too long to finish a game? A random round of ads. I just finished a game (won it) and sat through the ads (no biggie). Finish the ads and I got the stats screen that shows up after you win a game, click on the new game button and another round of ads.
I’m tired of spending more time swimming through Temu ads than I am playing the game. I hate to lose the records and stats that I’ve accumulated, but I’m deleting this game because all the ads.
App Devs: you’re taking away the fun
Sat Jan 04 2025 brittanythecaptainHave been playing this app for YEARS. Yes, the ads are frustrating, especially when you get an ad after finishing a round and then another ad immediately before starting another round. I’m good at Solitaire. On average, it takes me around 1-2 minutes to play a round. Sitting through a minute worthy of ads every few minutes of gameplay is exhausting; especially when many of the ads are scams using AI generated versions of Kelly Clarkson and Shark Tank hosts to hawk weight loss gummies.
But even more annoying is the new competition play to win card and board designs. Previously, I could play for an overall total of 4-5 hours over 2 days to complete the competition. But the new style requires me to play SO MUCH. I used to be able to play until I got the coins and could move on to a new game, but nope- now you have to complete the game. Each section requires an absurd amount of gameplay- this last section I am on required 48 coins, but each game gives me 1 coin. That’s 48 games for ONE SECTION. Playing 100 games and sitting through all the ads just to get an AI created board background or card design is frankly, ridiculous.
I will be deleting this app. This game is no longer fun.
Another user hating the ads
Tue Oct 08 2024 AuntieVegI only downloaded the app through Swagbucks to get credit for playing, but I’m not enjoying it one bit, and I really like playing Solitaire. There are way too many ads. I’ve used ad supported Solitaire apps that have only occasional ads which are annoying but still make for a functional app. I also will pay to get rid of the ads, but there’s no option with this one. It’s basically an app with nothing but ads and only occasionally do you get to play Solitaire. The game features themselves are okay, and I’d enjoy them more if I didn’t have to stop every two minutes just to sit through yet another ad or two. When I’ve gotten everything I can get out of this app (Swagbucks credit), I’m just going to delete the app. I have another Solitaire app on my phone that I downloaded through Swagbucks. I paid right away to get rid of the ads, zipped through and finished and got everything credited, and still have the app because it’s enjoyable without any ads. This app right here is not. Offer a way to get rid of the millions of ads or you’ll lose users like me.
Ad update = Intolerable gameplay
Tue Dec 24 2024 post’n’ghostI was enjoying this app a lot, with some minor gripes, but overall actually had fun with the game. For one, the game screen was just the game, no vid ad. Only recently have they now included a vid ad on the game screen. This change seemed to bring along an algorithm that makes the card spread impossible to complete without using the “magic wand” feature to reveal and play the next card needed in the ACES spread. And guess what..need to watch a 30 sec ad to use it (2 free ones when you start, and you never earn more). Before now, I would need to use it once or twice in 20-30 games. Now it’s EVERY SINGLE GAME. And not just once or twice, but again and again and again on and on just to finish a single game. Makes it unplayable, being annoying, and no longer worth my time. So sad this app, that used to be a chill little way to pass the time, is just another ad dump. Lame 👎
Too many ads and features barely work
Fri Apr 05 2024 Too many ads……I downloaded this game and it’s just flooded with ads. Move from one app back to the game? Ad. Swipe down your notifications screen then return to the game? Ad. Too many. When you try to voluntarily watch an ad to unlock a shuffle or magic, you get two ads and it doesn't unlock the shuffle or magic. So you have to watch another if you really need the shuffle or magic. The developers state that ads are how people support the game, however, there are way too many ads here. There’s not even an option to pay the developer a fee to remove ads. Definitely not ideal. Almost every game has this option. There tons of Solitaire apps on the Apple Store and quite frankly, you should pick one of them, not this one.
Unreasonable frequency of ads
Sun Mar 10 2024 Cyn3The ads in this game are unreasonably long. (super, super long), and unreasonably frequent. Moreover, the games that I have played seem unplayable. I keep on getting dealt rotten decks. I enjoy solitaire because I can do a game in under 5 minutes when I need a little break in the day, just to calm my mind by focusing on the cards. But this game does not calm my mind. I am forced to view extremely lengthy and spammy ads (ads that for example, say “update required,” to try to get you to download the advertised app thinking it’s an update needed on this app, or ads promising riches or $3000 a month if you play their solitaire gambling game); and I rarely can complete a game. i’m going to continue playing this through for a little while, because I am motivated by Lolli to earn a few cents worth of bitcoin. However, i am pretty close to just deleting this app, never to reinstall it again.
Beware of Fraudulent ads
Fri Sep 27 2024 WALKERBAITo3I’m getting a significant amount of ads and most of which are very fraudulent and fishy. Many ads when you click on the x will send you to their website with who knows what will end up in your device. Scamming ads, poorly rendered ads, fake ads, you name it. I wish I could give this game zero stars because of how poorly monitored the ads are. Unfortunately this game is only for the purpose of fetch points. As soon as I get the points for playing to a certain point, this game will be deleted and never to be installed or played again. There are better solitaire apps out there which don’t have any ads and it’s still free to play. I truly hope the developers of this app see this and get to work fixing the mess they’ve created with poor approval of ads. I suspect devs are greedy to the point they’ll let you destroy your device with viruses because they get paid to put their ads and links up.
Ads are very wonky
Thu Dec 19 2019 guitaristabluThe game itself is fine but they have to do something about the ads. Some (not all) of the ads for Oprah’s Book Club selection “Olive,Again” give you no way to get back to the game after the ad has run. I literally stays on the last frame and gives you no ‘x’ to move on. “Funky Island” ads do the same. If you wish to continue playing you need to wait a few hours and come back to it or restart your pad. If the developer’s aim is to be an ad platform with a game attached (and let’s face it, that is what this is), you can’t expose your customers to more ads if the ads freeze the app. Also I find it interesting that they suggest that this game is appropriate for ages 4+, some of the ads sure aren’t. At 67 I may or may not be ready for a slot that reputedly contains “real adult emotions” but I was not at 5 years old. Believe me, I am no prude but somehow this seems a bit out of synch with the age rating.
Buggy /Glitchy whatever you call it
Sun Jun 11 2023 __AceKidd__I just downloaded this game for an offer I got and I’m supposed to get to level 120 in the journey mode within 21 days, right?
So, let me tell you all, the story; I’m playing, and Im passing levels, games started to feel pretty fun with the challenges given.
Then, I get to level 23 of the journey mode, and guess what, it’s as if the game is rigged or bugged because level 23 challenge info states that your objective is to finish the game - the board of solitaire given for the challenge.
The problem is the game they give for 23 has a bug! There’s no timer, no limited amount of moves, and it’s seems, every time I try to finish it and I’m very close to finishing the whole game ends it’s self; telling me to try again!
First of all, this isn’t the first time it’s happened; I just downloaded this yesterday and I thought maybe it was just a small problem that I could fix, but it’s not. Restarting that app doesn’t work.
So, at this point, this is why I’ve written this review. I can change it if the devs fix the problem with their journey mode; because I’m literally stuck on level 23 because before I can finish (reminder: it has no timer or limited amount of moves), the level ends it’s self stating to try again.
Ps Thanks in advance devs for helping and fixing the problem. ~ Sun. June 11, 2023.
