Dinsun here. Specimen Zero is what happens when you follow a 'How to make a horror game' tutorial to the letter. Dark hospital? Check. Creepy monster with weird walking animation? Check. Finding keys to open doors? Check. It’s effective for about twenty minutes, mostly because being in the dark is inherently stressful, but the novelty wears off fast. The puzzles are basic 'find the item' chores, and the monster AI is incredibly easy to cheese once you understand its pathing.
The multiplayer is the only saving grace, as it’s always fun to watch a friend scream. But technically, the game is rough. The textures are muddy, and the controls are clunky—which I know some people argue adds to the 'tension,' but to me, it’s just poor design. It’s a 48. It does enough to be called a game, but it doesn't do anything to be called a good one. It’s just another drop in the ocean of generic mobile horror.
