Spooky Spook is one of those 'just one more try' games. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it polishes its core mechanic to a mirror finish. The visual aesthetic is adorable rather than scary, making it a great choice for younger players or anyone who loves a good Halloween vibe year-round.

The gameplay loop is very satisfying. As you weave through the dark corridors, the tension builds alongside the music. It’s a test of pure reflex. My only complaint is that the difficulty spikes a bit too sharply around the 2-minute mark, but that only makes getting a new high score feel more earned.

It’s a lightweight app that runs perfectly on older iPhones as well. If you’re looking for a stylish time-killer for your morning commute, you can’t go wrong with this little ghost story.

Dinsun Review

I’m not the target audience here, but I can recognize a functional educational tool when I see one. It’s 'baby’s first hidden object game,' and it does that job adequately. The art is soft and non-threatening, which is exactly what parents want for a preschooler around Halloween.

However, from a gamer's perspective, there’s zero substance. It’s a point-and-click experience with no stakes and very little variety. It’s fine for keeping a five-year-old occupied in a waiting room, but it’s not going to win any awards for innovation. It’s a digital picture book with some very basic interactivity. It does exactly what it needs to do and nothing more.
