Sprinkle Islands is a delightful sequel that expands on the 'water-physics' puzzle genre with charm and ingenuity. You control a tiny fire engine on a series of islands, using a crane-mounted water cannon to extinguish fires and move obstacles. The physics of the water are remarkably soft and realistic, flowing into crevices and pushing blocks exactly as you’d expect.

The puzzles strike a great balance—they are challenging enough to make you think but never so frustrating that you want to quit. The boss battles at the end of each island are a great addition, requiring you to use your water in creative ways to defeat giant monsters. It's a family-friendly game that manages to look gorgeous and play smoothly, making it a standout in the physics-puzzle category.

Dinsun Review

I’ve always had a soft spot for water physics in games—it’s a difficult thing to get right. Sprinkle Islands does a commendable job of making the water feel heavy and interactive. The puzzles are well-designed, often requiring you to think about trajectory and flow in a way that feels logical. It’s got that clean, almost 'Wii-era' aesthetic that I find quite pleasant.

But it’s not without its frustrations. The controls for the water cannon can be a bit finicky on a small screen, leading to wasted water and unfair restarts. It also doesn't really evolve much after the first dozen levels. Once you've seen the basic fire-and-lever interaction, the game just repeats the formula with more clutter. It’s a solid B-minus effort; it’s respectable, but it won’t change your life.
