Dinsun Review
I wanted to like this. Railroad management is a pillar of strategy gaming, but State Railroad boils it down until there's almost nothing left but the skin. You're basically just drawing lines and watching icons move. There's no real management of schedules, no complex resource chains, and certainly no challenge to your logistics skills.
It’s a 'zen' game, I suppose, if your idea of zen is watching an ad every time you want to upgrade a locomotive. The visuals are clean enough, and there is a mild satisfaction in seeing the map fill up, but once you've connected a few states, you've seen the entire game. It's a casual distraction, not a tycoon game.
