The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is more than a game; it's a conversation between the player and the developer. It’s hard to review without spoiling the surprises, but suffice it to say that the 'Ultra Deluxe' content is massive. It doesn't just add more endings; it comments on the very idea of a sequel and the expectations of fans. Kevan Brighting’s narration remains the gold standard for voice acting in games—his delivery is impeccable.

On mobile, the game runs beautifully. The simple interaction model works well with touch, though the real draw is the writing. It will make you laugh, make you think, and occasionally make you question your own sanity. Whether you've played the original or are new to Stanley's world, this is an essential experience that proves games can be both incredibly funny and deeply philosophical.

Dinsun Review

I don't usually care for 'walking simulators.' I prefer games where my reflexes and tactical thinking are tested. But Stanley is different. It’s not a game you play for the mechanics; it’s a game you play to be argued with. The Narrator is one of the best characters in gaming history—pompous, vulnerable, and hilarious.

The Ultra Deluxe content is surprisingly substantial. It doesn't just add 'more stuff'; it examines what it means to make a sequel. It’s very meta, which can be exhausting, but it’s handled with such wit that I can’t help but respect it. Is it a 'game' in the traditional sense? Barely. But it’s a masterclass in writing. My only gripe is that the mobile controls, while functional, lose a bit of the precision and immersion of the PC version. Still, if you haven't experienced this, you're missing out on a vital part of gaming culture.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded re-imagining of the critically acclaimed, award winning indie game The Stanley Parable from 2013.

Everything that was in the original Stanley Parable is here, preserved just like it was back in 2013. But The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe also dramatically expands the world of the original game with new content, new choices, and new secrets to uncover. The labyrinth has just gotten bigger.

In addition, the game has been visually upgraded to reflect modern technology while faithfully preserving the tone of the original game. Accessibility features have also been added to the game, including localization of in-world text, colorblind options, and content warnings.

And just as before, the impeccable voicework of Kevan Brighting will accompany you every step of the way.

In The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, everything you remember has been recreated, yet it's different somehow. We've been here before, haven't we? Is Stanley still the same as he was back then? Or is it you who has changed?

Q&A

While it can be surreal and a bit lonely, it is primarily a dark comedy and exploration game, not a horror game.
