Time Raiders feels like it was designed by a committee in a boardroom. It’s got all the buzzwords: 'looter,' 'RPG,' 'time travel.' But the execution is just... bland. The combat is your standard twin-stick fare that we've seen a thousand times on mobile. The 'time travel' is really just a fancy way of saying they have different tile sets for the levels. There's no clever use of time mechanics like you'd see in a real classic like Chrono Trigger.
The loot grind is fine if that's your thing, but it’s heavily incentivized by microtransactions. It’s the classic 'pay-to-progress-faster' model that ruins so many modern titles. The graphics are decent, I'll give it that, but the character designs are forgettable. It’s a game that works, but it doesn't have a soul. It’s a product, not a project of passion.
