Veritas is a hauntingly beautiful first-person adventure that perfectly captures the isolation and mystery of a psychological thriller. Developed by Glitch Games, it maintains their signature style of 'photograph and puzzle' gameplay but wraps it in a narrative that is far more ambitious than their previous work. You wake up in a facility with no memory of how you got there, participating in what you're told is a 'Veritas Research' project. The sense of unease is constant, aided by a stark, industrial art style and a soundscape that makes every footstep feel heavy.

The puzzles are the real star here. They are logical but require a keen eye for environmental detail. The built-in camera tool is a lifesaver, allowing you to snap photos of clues and refer to them instantly without the frustration of back-and-forth walking. It’s a cerebral experience that respects the player's intelligence, offering a story that twists and turns until a final revelation that will leave you questioning everything you saw.
