Wheel Offroad is a solid, physics-heavy driving game that focuses on a very specific niche: tire management. Unlike traditional racers where you just mash the gas, here you have to manually adjust the size of your wheels in real-time to overcome environmental obstacles. It turns the act of driving into a series of micro-puzzles where your situational awareness is more important than your top speed.

The 3D graphics are functional and clear, which is vital when you're trying to judge the depth of a mud pit or the height of a jump. The sensation of momentum is well-handled, and seeing your truck power through a previously impossible obstacle after a quick wheel adjustment is quite satisfying. While it’s a fairly simple arcade experience, it’s a great 'fidget' game that provides immediate feedback and a constant sense of progression.

I've seen better physics in games from 2005. Wheel Offroad feels like a Unity asset flip. The 'physics' are inconsistent—sometimes your truck has the weight of a tank, other times it bounces like a beach ball. The environments are barren, brown, and incredibly boring to look at. There’s no sense of progression that feels meaningful, just a slow grind to unlock more trucks that handle just as poorly as the first one. It’s a hobbyist project masquerading as a professional product. Don't waste your storage space.
