I used to love this game
Thu Feb 01 2024 Zil ReltucThis game is fun and challenging. There are errors in accuracy with some of the levels. I had to delete and reinstall this game because it kept repeatedly flickering and giving a “no internet connection “ warning. This was so annoying. I would close the app, to try to solve the problems with flickering and “Internet@ that way. Unfortunately that did not work, so I reinstalled the game and the same issues are happening. I hope it gets fixed.
Enjoyable
Sat Nov 11 2023 dapperapperI have enjoyed The NY Times version and wanted to play more. This app is not bad. Yes, there are long ads between levels which why I’m not giving it 5 stars. I think I was at level 29 before I hit a puzzle where I used a “Mistake”. Level 40 is where I encountered puzzles that I used more than one Mistake or had to replay the level. I’m through level 60 after a couple of hours and there have been maybe a half-dozen stumpers. If you are not good at these games then I can understand the frustration of watching a video between levels, to replay a level, or to buy a hint which may not help. A few minutes with a dictionary or Wikipedia will help solve most puzzles. If you are good at these puzzles then you will hone your playing skills which is what I was looking for.
Updates made game glitchy
Mon Jan 29 2024 AKPedI do enjoy this app! I have been playing for about 2 months. I paid so I didn’t have to watch ads. I do like the daily challenge update. They are super difficult, which I like very much.
However, since an update (maybe 5 days ago?) my background is now black (used to be white, which I prefer) the shuffle button is now gone, the app constantly flickers every 30-40 seconds and a no internet popup pops up just as often. It happens even when I turn off my WIFI. All are super annoying!!! None of these things happened with the white background! Could it be cuz I paid for no ads? Please try to improve.
Freezes
Sun Dec 03 2023 Buddy914I was enjoying this game and wanted to buy it but after playing game after 5-6 levels it freezes solid. I had to uninstall and reinstall and then it starts with level 1 again. I tried twice and same thing happened. First time I was able to get to level eight before it froze. Second time it froze at level 5. Last time it froze after level 30. I tried one more time uninstalling and reinstalling this time it froze after level 2. Finally I gave up. If you figure out the bug and fix it I will actually buy it.
To Developers: don’t you guy test your app and figure out why it freezes? There are many many reviews complaining about this and I am sure you can reproduce the problem pretty quickly and debug the issue.
Ads galore!!
Fri Feb 02 2024 BlondesantaVery distracting that you throw in an ad after EVERY round. I can beat a round in less that 30 seconds and still you put in an ad afterwards. I have played few games that use as many ads as you have. Even when it comes down to wrong selections and I have to retry. It takes maybe 10 seconds to retry my guess and again you throw an ad in there. I can only play it so long and get so frustrated I have to quit. Honestly should give you a 2 but I do like the categories. They are simple yet some are challenging. Get rid of half your ads and it would greatly improve this game!!
Loved it until last update

Far worse is that now every 3-5 seconds I get a pop up saying I have lost my internet connection. This happens during gameplay but not ads!! My connection is fine. It is impossible to play at this point.
I am going to stop playing for now and wait to see if an update fixes it because I really enjoy the game.
Why does the game keep changing?
Thu Feb 08 2024 HS1795I love this game. I paid to remove ads. It was perfect, then you changed it. The colors changed, the recap of the game changed. Then I got used to it and it changed BACK! Then I got reacclimated to the old way and it changed AGAIN! If I hadn’t already paid to remove ads, I would delete this app. For the love of God, pick a layout and stick to it. And bonus points if the colors on the recap match the colors in the game.
Enjoy the game, but too many glitches
Mon Jan 29 2024 Blueskygirl22I thoroughly enjoy playing this game however, since the upgrade it is almost impossible to play. I continually get a pop up asking me to connect to the Internet, which I already am connected. The pop-up appears so frequently its impossible to play the game. In addition many of the ads freeze the game even during mid play. Of course, this is very frustrating to say the least. Prior to the upgrade I would have given the game five stars however because of all of the glitches I’m giving it three stars.
Sorry I bought it
Thu Jan 25 2024 FryanairI’m very disappointed in this app. Even though when you pay for it, you don’t see spontaneous ads, you really have to use the hints and that means you watch very long ads over and over. I also think at times I actually did match the correct words, but I didn’t get credit for it which meant that I then had to play the game again and see more ads. I admit that I was playing it pretty often because it is a stress reliever, but I’ve already come to the end of all the puzzles after less than a few weeks. No more puzzles available! I feel cheated.
Stopped working
Sat Dec 23 2023 Les5731783Since the app was updated to include levels beyond 120, I haven’t been able to play a level. I was able to do the puzzle of the day a few times, but now my screen is stuck on level 121, and when I tap on a box to select it, nothing happens. The only thing I can tap on is the ads. The settings won’t even open. And this is after updating it again today. I really like this game, but when an update makes it so I can’t play the game anymore, it gets rather frustrating. And yes, I’ve tried closing the game and reopening it. And doing the same with my phone.
