However, the banner ads at the bottom cause the game to freeze for several seconds every single time they change. This is not only annoying but it’s caused me to screw up and select the wrong piece. It also has caused the game to crash a few times, which is especially frustrating on a challenging level where it takes a long time to pass. If it weren’t for the freezing and crashing issue, it would be a perfect 5 stars.
Limited free ads are stupid and so is losing lives
Sat Aug 02 2025 rebecca3846920I think it’s really stupid to only allow people to be able to watch 5 free ads per day to get rewards, especially when you have to use them to get through all the hard levels and then it’s like you can’t play the game anymore until the next day.
Also, I have another problem with this game that I want to mention. So I like to listen to podcasts while I play mobile games, and the ads that are unmutable ruin it. But what I usually do when this happens on other apps is I’ll close the app and start again so maybe I’ll get another ad that can be muted. But apparently when you do that on this app, you lose a life and when you lose (I think five?) lives you can’t play anymore for a certain amount of time. Between that and the issue I mentioned above, it feels like the developers don’t even want you to play their game which I won’t anymore because I’ve tried out other yarn unravel-type games, and because of the those major issues this is the most poorly designed app of this type that I have ever tried by far. Basically this app is hot garbage and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’ll uninstall and stop playing like y’all apparently want me to lol.
Freezes & closes out
Wed Oct 15 2025 aidwosI love this game but I’m about to stop playing it and find a different one because of how much it freezes. You’ll be playing and it will freeze and you’ll accidentally click on the wrong yarn. Don’t even get me started on it randomly closing out. That is the WORST! I could be on a very hard level, use helps and be almost done with the level, and it will just close. This game doesn’t save your progress so you have to start the whole level over and you don’t get your helps back. It’s extremely frustrating. I also would love if it would save your progress. Apps in 2025 should not glitch out like this anymore it’s kind of insane really. If that didn’t happen I would give 5 stars. Hopefully they will fix it before I get fed up enough to stop playing!
Needs Improving

What I’m not ok with, is the screen CONSTANTLY freezing on me. Also, it keeps crashing, and when it does, it eats up a life, and starts the puzzle from the beginning. It’s frustrating and super annoying! Please, fix the bugs!
I need to add something to my review, even though I’m not sure any of you guys even reads these: why do I get stuck with the same image 2 and 3 times in a row? Again, and again, not just once, but constantly! You don’t have that many images to start with; at least, rotate them! Please! And add more variety. I love the format of the game, but I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to plat the same image over, and over, and over… And over… AND over…..
Decent game…glitchy
Wed Oct 08 2025 AngbAng46839I kept seeing ads for this game and it actually let you play for a long time before you run out of options. Inevitably, I downloaded it since the ads were fun. Gameplay is simple but a bit frustrating. You never know how many layers there are to a piece. I do like that you can press and hold a piece and see what color is right underneath. My biggest complaint is that the game freezes often. Gameplay resumes but the glitch makes you click things you may not have meant to. Also, sometimes the ads at the bottom of the screen force a pop-up window (ie Yarn Fever wants to open SHEIN). I find that a little bit concerning. I’m having fun with the game but would love the freezing glitch fixed. It even freezes ads sometimes.

When you click on a yarn color it freezes, when you rotate the object, it freezes. It didn’t do this when I first downloaded the game but just started happening a few days ago. If it keeps happening I may delete the game. ALSO: the game automatically moves the screen to the left as you’re playing so that you can’t see the left side of the design. And it will also zoom in automatically which is annoying as well. But the FREEZING is happening every minute and it needs to be fixed!!!!!
Game CONSTANTLY Freezes and Shuts Down
Wed Oct 01 2025 theraibornsI downloaded this app and liked it enough to pay for the ad-free version. I would absolutely give it five stars if it weren’t for the constant freezing. And when I say constant, I mean it—every 1–3 minutes it freezes for 20–40 seconds at a time. It’s beyond frustrating! Another issue is that if I’m in the middle of a game and switch over to reply to a text or do something else, when I return the game forces me to restart the level.
Honestly, I don’t know why I’ve stuck with it this long because so much time is wasted dealing with these glitches. I’ll gladly change my rating once these issues are fixed. However, I’ve already sent two emails to the developer and haven’t received a reply.
Fun, but has it's problems

First of all, the game needs to take a math lesson because the points I've won do not add up properly. Secondly, I see just as many adds after I paid the $10 to be "add free" as I did when it was free.
Lastly, the game freezes up several times per game. I spend half the time on each level waiting for the game to catch up. I have an iPhone 15 Pro max and very good wi-fi so it's not due to an internet lag. This doesn't happen with my other games, but is a constant issue with this app. I'll keep using it until I find another game I like just as much or more.
Fun but AWFUL bugs
Wed Oct 15 2025 Estudiante11This game is SO much fun. So calming, such smooth animations and lovely colors. But oh my goooooood the bugs are unbearable. The game freezes every minute or so, sometimes leading to clicking where you didn’t intend to, and if the screen falls asleep, it often restarts your entire game. You then lose any boosts you used/earned/purchased. As there are only 5 ad boosts per day, this is particularly annoying if you’ve used a few of them and then lost your game. I’ve been working on the same puzzle for over a week because I’ve either lost my progress or not been able to use my ads or points to get boosts. So frustrating and SUCH a bummer when it’s such a fun game otherwise.
Freezes and you have to watch ads to get rewards
Mon Aug 25 2025 Shoozy118I played until level 527(I think). That level has a bug where you’ve cleared all the yarn but the game is still looking for you to fill two spools. I would’ve kept the game and just reported the big except I got tired of the game freezing just as I was rotating the image. Instead of rotating, the freeze would make the game think that I tapped a color so I would frequently use up my last open slot and then have to watch an ad. Also, when you successfully complete a level you must watch an ad before you get your level reward. For these reasons, Sharks, I’m out
