Splitter Critters+ is one of those rare puzzle games that feels completely intuitive yet deeply challenging. The 'splitting' mechanic is remarkably tactile—it feels like you're physically cutting a piece of paper and sliding it across a table. It's a testament to great touch-screen design that the game never feels frustrating despite the high level of precision required in later stages.

The progression is expertly paced. Just as you get comfortable with simple horizontal splits, the game throws in vertical cuts, moving hazards, and critters with different movement patterns. The sound design is a hidden gem here; the ambient tracks for the various planets are incredibly soothing, which helps balance the brain-bending difficulty of the puzzles. On Apple Arcade, where the flow isn't broken by ads, it’s a pure, concentrated dose of 'just one more level' gameplay. It's easily one of the most creative titles in the puzzle genre in recent years.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. I’m clearly not the target demographic for this, but looking at it objectively, it’s a standard digital dollhouse. There are no 'win' conditions, no challenges, and no real mechanics beyond 'click and drag.' It’s essentially a toy, not a game. The art is loud and simplistic, and the constant push for subscriptions or linked apps is the kind of modern industry practice that I find distasteful.

It functions, but it’s repetitive. For a child, maybe the novelty of making a digital character brush their teeth is enough. For anyone with a developed palate for software, it’s a vacuous experience. I find the interface cluttered with promotional icons for other 'My Town' products. It's more of a marketing platform than a standalone piece of entertainment.
