I’ve been waiting for a sports game that doesn't try to be a $70 gambling simulator. NFL Retro Bowl '25 is a breath of fresh air. It understands that 'fun' is more important than 'realism.' The controls are brilliant—swiping to pass feels natural and rewarding. Managing the team is just complex enough to keep me engaged without requiring a spreadsheet. This is how sports games used to be, and I love it.

The addition of real NFL players and teams actually adds a lot to the experience for a fan like me. It makes the 'dynasty' mode feel much more personal. It’s a conservative game in that it sticks to a formula that works, but it’s executed with such polish and heart that it’s hard to find fault. It’s easily the best sports game on mobile.
