It's ok...but repetitive and obscure...
Fri Jun 04 2021 carrie640I've worked in on-air radio for a number of years, so naturally, I am going to like this type of game. I, for one, would like to know who programmed this thing. You go to "top hits of X year" and you get things I've never EVEN have heard of! Where are they hits at, Siberia???? Well, come to find out a couple of them I googled were released SOLELY in other countries...one was IRELAND. Yea, OK...LOL. But it's not the one or two obscure things, it's A LOT of them and FREQUENTLY. I even came across one that was supposedly released in 1985 and it wasn't until 1986!! LOL. I mean, COME ON. Then, it's always the same artists that play even though there are others listed as choices. Phil Collins is one. Tony Basil is another. I've seen more than one instance with these in the same freaking round! I am over it. ((and the character options are pitiful))
Super fun to play with friends!!!
Sat Dec 30 2023 🛼🛼🛼🛼🛼🛼Song pop party is fun and entertaining to play only thing is I tried to send a link to my friends so they could play with me. But it would not work I don’t know if that just happened to us but all my friends had to download the app so we could play the only thing to make this game better is to make it easier to invite friends but besides that it is so fun to play with your friends, unlock keys and get new characters I love all the categories. They are super fun and there’s some for everybody. another thing I like about this game is you can get it on your TV. one other thing that I don’t love is that there aren’t that many characters to unlock there is a good amount but I’m just wondering if you unlock them all do you get new ones or are you done? if that’s the only characters you can get, it’s not as fun and you can’t keep trying to get new ones. even though there aren’t that many characters the ones they have are super super cool I like how they all look different so everyone has different options so even though I only gave this four stars, I would still recommend getting this game super fun to play with other people but you can also play it by yourself on solo mode, so yes, if you want to get this game, it is the right choice.
point system needs to change
Wed Dec 28 2022 Matt072303I believe that the current point system of this game is not doing an adequate job of reflecting the importance of speed and order as it relates to ones score and points reach round. I beleivce that instead of only accounting for the speed to calculate the score (the longer you take to chose the correct answer, the fewer points you get). Instead, I think that you should also be rewarded based on order of answer input. The first player to answer correctly should get more points. The seconds player to answer should get less points than the first but more than the thrid. So on and so forth. This way each round one player is making a leap over the others instead of two players answering at relatively early times and not being able to more forward past anyone in any given round. My idea makes it more...competative. The current point distrubution meathod is rather frustrating and annoying when trying to beat my components so maybe consider....changing it to my idea. thanks . thats why it got 4 stars and not 5. other wise it is a pretty fun game and a well designed application and interface.

Wed May 25 2022 whetavaEDIT: I just read through the reviews and saw that other people have experienced this issue and they still have no response from support, one person even made two reviews about this and still has nothing from support, so I changed my rating from 4 stars to 1 star and I will delete the game; Down below is my original post explaining the issue.
I got Apple Arcade only a few days ago and have been really enjoying this game, For some reason my progress keeps being lost; I’ve had to replay the tutorial three times and purchase my favorite character in shop again twice, when I first lost my data I thought I got hacked so I changed my Apple ID information so people can’t hack me and then I still lost my progress and had to start everything all over again, including the may event and I feel so hurt by this because the skin is really cute and there’s only a few days left. I deleted and reinstalled the game today, so I had to replay the tutorial for three times now, I really hope that this issue can be fixed because I don’t want to keep redoing achievements over and over again only to just lose my progress once more. Also, I have my data collection turned on and have even saved my game and it still kept resetting.

Sat Nov 06 2021 12345678910000 happy girl yayI love this game! It’s so much fun, and I’ve been playing it a lot! I like how it’s simple, but fun! You can get avatars, albums, and unlock artists! Plus, it’s easy to get keys, but not to easy. I do think it could be a little more exciting if there were some more updates. But, other then that, I like it a lot! I like how there’s a solo section and a party section to! I love playing with my friends and family! I also love how there’s a calendar where it gives you one key everyday! But, one thing, in some reviews I have seen that people want a chat. Where we can talk to each other during or out of games. I think its a good idea, but in my opinion, I definitely don’t want a chat center. If we get a chat center, 99.9% will probably become a toxic game.. people will probably start saying super rude things to each other, and I don’t wanna change this fun game to a toxic one. Not saying everyone’s gonna be rude though. But there’s not a chat in this game now, so I don’t need to worry about it now. That chat center opinion was just my thoughts to the game makers and developers of the game.
Avoid the Comedy Songs playlist
Wed Aug 25 2021 TheOtherOtherAmyI am enjoying most of the playlist, some of them do have a lot of repeats (Twenty One Pilots is on EVERY round of Essential Rock) but the comedy songs playlist is not well done at all. I assumed it would be a snippet of Weird Al or Tenacious D or Lonely Island singing, but most of the songs are the audience cheering at one of the above comedic shows and the time runs out before you actually hear a tune to name. Some of the sound bites are blank, and some are wrong (“Springtime for Hitler” was being sung by John Barrowman, not Nathan Lane nor Matthew Broderick, FYI).
Most of the others are fun for now, and it is fun although you do have to keep unlocking more playlists because after you play through one about 4 times, you have heard all of the songs and although you can then impress your friends with your mad music skillz (tm), it kind of loses its appeal for you to already know the answers. I suspect I will be deleting this within the month after I play through the genres I like.
Robbing of Keys
Fri Jul 22 2022 ElegantMothI love this game. It’s really fun and good to play with family. However, once the festivals challenge was added, the game has been different for me. Once I exited the game after playing with a friend, I went back in as I had a notification (the game wanted me to play the festival thing in arena mode). So I played it in arena mode, went back to home and saw it took away my keys. It also showed that I needed to claim two achievements and claim the first July Daily Login Challenge, when I had already done both. So where’s the key robbing? Well, I had 184 or 186 keys before I exited the app after playing with friends. But when I went back in, and claimed all I needed to, I was left with 174. Not a big deal but after I leave the app now it takes away my festival progress and leaves a notification on the app. I checked and there is no update I can do. Please fix this. Other than this recent issue, I would give it five stars :)
Fun, but...
Fri Jun 11 2021 DKM2014Overall this is am interesting game, but with a few problems.
If you don’t have a super strong internet connection it will lock up during Arena play or even solo play.
Also, once you enter Arena play, you are stuck until it figures out the other players. There is no way to stop it should it not find anyone so you have to close it out. Waited nearly 5 minutes for a fourth person to be added before I said forget it and closed the app.
Finally, you should be able to leave an arena game before it starts picking the category. Ended up with three other players with Taylor Swift as their category and I couldn’t tell you any of her songs because I actively avoid listening to her.
I know that is on me for not knowing her songs, but if I could have left the arena before the category was chosen I would not have to screwed up the game for the other three players. Let them go on and listen to her garbage and let me move on to something else.
Really good game! But afew problems...

My first problem is that when you join an arena round every one has the same category, I know you do this so it isn’t confusing but it can be bad because the game is waiting to find other people with the same category, and it can make the game load slow. Also, when you play the quiz there some songs that aren’t really there, like let’s say there’s the song playing and you click on the wrong songs, and you get the answers wrong, next time you play the song clicked on the other time pops up again, but they never play that actual song, it’s only an answer. It would be better if you make every answer a song. Over all, this game is amazing! I love it so much, thank you!
Fun But Glitched
Sat May 29 2021 WhiteDragonflyI really like this game, it fun and I love all the music. I love playing against other people in the Arena. I like to play each music category and level them up to the same level before moving on, this gives me great variety. I buy new music playlists and characters along the way with the keys I earn.
Here’s the problem: I didn’t have an issue until I got all of my music categories to level 3. Now, as I go along, it will spontaneously glitch back to a random “saved” time in the game. My character changes back to whatever I was at that point and I lose all the level progress, song playlists and characters I’ve achieved. I have bought the same darn playlist THREE times because it keeps glitching back to before I bought it. I have even tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. No dice, still does it. It’s frustrating enough for me to stop playing it since I can’t make any headway.
