Turmoil+ is an absolute hidden gem of a management sim. It looks simple with its flat, vector-art style, but there is a surprisingly deep economic puzzle at its core. The loop of leasing land, frantically laying pipes before the timer runs out, and trying to manipulate the fluctuating oil prices is incredibly addictive. The game strikes a perfect balance between fast-paced real-time decisions on the map and long-term strategic investments in the town.

The Apple Arcade version is the definitive way to play on mobile because it includes the DLC campaigns and removes any worry of pay-to-win mechanics. The AI opponents provide a solid challenge during the town auctions, keeping you on your toes. My only minor gripe is that the endgame can feel a little bit repetitive once you've unlocked all the upgrades, but getting to that point is a thoroughly enjoyable, oil-soaked ride.

Dinsun here. Turmoil is a great example of a simple premise executed perfectly. The risk-reward of holding your oil to wait for a better price while your storage tanks are overflowing is genuine stress. It’s got that 'one more year' quality that the best management games possess.

The Arcade version is great because it includes all the DLC, providing a lot of meat on the bones. It’s a 79—it’s smart, it’s challenging, and it doesn't insult your intelligence. My only complaint is that the early game can feel a bit slow after you’ve restarted a few times. Definitely worth your time.
