★★★★★ The most fun I’ve had in a phone game!
Sun Jun 22 2025 Shybirdie1I came across game after finishing the game What the car? Which is also a really fun game. But I’ve had so much fun with What the golf? That I can barely put my phone down! I wish it would just go on and on and on. It’s been so unique and so fun to play. Each level was thought out so carefully and creatively. Some are harder than others, but the challenge is part of the fun. A good game should be a little maddening at times to play. I can’t say enough about this game. I’m getting closer to the end and am so sad that I am. Hoping the creators continue to make more and more levels so that the game can continue. I’m already planning on playing all of the levels over again when I’m finished just to enjoy it all over again. I’m hoping there is a way to erase my final progress so that I can start from scratch. One thing I will say is that there are not instructions for some of the harder levels, and in between levels there isn’t a whole lot of guidance as to what you are supposed to do next, but for me this was part of the fun. Being able to freely roam and discover and decide how you choose to continue through each of the levels just adds to the fun experience. Download this game you won’t regret it! My only regret is getting through all of the levels so quickly that now it’s almost coming to an end. Please continue to write more and more levels! 🥹

I didn’t realize that at first though because I was just enjoying throwing my little golfing buddy off the side of a cliff or at some explosives. So I went through the stages like any other game. I realized about a quarter of the way through that I actually liked the game. Usually I’ll get an arcade game and just play it when I want to. But I was actually excited to pick up the game and start a new level. I wanted to go to the different worlds that my little golf ball was going to. I got enthralled with the story (the little bit of one). It had the perfect amount of quirkiness and lore, I loved it.
Every stage brought me to a different scenario (outer space, the Wild West, and plenty of other game replicas like angry birds and Mario). Each level had three different difficulties that were all just the right amount of difficult. I never questioned if a level was too difficult or needed to be nerfed. And with the daily levels you could compete with other players and friends to get the least amount of golf strokes to get to the end.
By the end of the game when they included throwbacks to the previous levels I had a little bit of the same feeling you get at the end of a good franchise. It felt like when you saw Han Solo in the new Star Wars movies, or when you saw all the avengers at the end of End Game. It was like I had become a fan of the game and it’s lore. It left me wanting more, but in a good way.
Congrats to the producers who made such a great game, and I hope newcomers will enjoy it just as much as I did.

Wed Nov 09 2022 crazyratmonkeyI have been playing this game for years now I love it so much this game I have never played one as good as this because it is just plain funny and just amazing nothing compares to it it makes golf so fun I can’t even explain it I don’t even like golf my parents got this game for me and I’m like no I don’t want it but I am so happy they stuck with it because it is so funny and fun I’ve got 100% over and over again just restarting doing all the daily challenges I finish the game entirely over and over and over and over again it is an amazing game and I won hundred percent say anybody who sees it should play it I don’t know a single thing wrong with it the only thing I have to say is I feel like there should be theorist looking at this game like the game theorist because there is such a new lore in this and it’s so crazy I’ve never seen it before so someone should look at this game and be like there’s something wrong here just 10 out of 10 or five out of five amazing just amazing thank you for everything you’ve done for us game developers and I hope you make so many games in the future!!!!!!

Mon Apr 21 2025 hello please fix this!!This is the 4th or 5th time the app has deleted itself off my phone, I’ve been playing for 4 years and used to really enjoy it but that’s hard to do when I have to completely restart the whole game over and over and over again. This isn’t done with any other apps on my phone, and it’s not like I’m deleting it, the icon will still be on my phone but it won’t open and when I go to the App Store it’ll say “play” like I can open the app but if I press it it doesn’t work, if I try and do anything else it says “you have to own the app to do this” the only way to fix this so it’s not just wasting phone storage while not working is to completely uninstall it and redownload it. I’m not sure if there’s some sort of virus attached to the app or if there’s something built in that if you don’t interact with it for a couple weeks it deletes itself, I know that used to be a phone feature but I don’t have it tuned on and it only consistently happens with this app, it also happened with sneaky Sasquatch one time, which I downloaded in the same month as this one, but it’s not constantly deleting itself. I really only redownload it this time so people will know not to get too attached to the game because it can just delete itself. It’s not fun to keep replaying the same levels in a seemingly never-ending loop of hoping that it’s finally been fixed after so many years and then finding out one day that it’s deleted itself again.

Sun Mar 13 2022 Radical CabbageSeptember 9, 2001. Gary and I were skating at a hospital on top of a huge hill overlooking a valley. An ambulance came and took out a dead woman. Gary asked me why she wasn't moving or blinking. They hadn't closed her eyes yet. She must have died on the way. A car full of family and friends came in with the ambulance. They were all crying and hugging each other. One woman screamed hysterically and grabbed at the woman's body asking her to wake up. I had to tell Gary that her soul went to Heaven. I didn't believe a word of it, but I knew it'd be easier for him to understand. Two days from now, at 9 AM, the planes will hit the World Trade Center killing over 3,000 people. I will tell Gary that there is no God, and all of this is meaningless. But today, there is a God. And he has a plan for him. He doesn't know it, but a year from now, our family will be torn apart and I will move far away and won't see or talk to him for five years. And as we sit on the hood of our car, the sun goes down and he asks me what I want out of my life. I tell him I don't know. On and on we run away from the things we are afraid. I don't tell him about the dream I had the night before where I'm riding in a car full of strangers and singing to some song I've never heard and smoking a cigarette and we swerve off the road and hit a tree. I go through the windshield and hit the edge of a fence, dislocating my jaw and flipping me into a wall where my neck is broken, and my skull is fractured. I bleed to death in excruciating pain. I will have this dream periodically until I meet all of the strangers, one by one introducing them all to one another until we are a close group of friends. I will set these events in motion, and I will die. But today in the warm light of the sunset, I don't see it. I just see the sunset. I smile back and shake my head. I have absolutely no idea. I am afraid.

Thu Apr 22 2021 Vegetable ChinI only awarded 4 stars because I was hoping to pitch myself into the flag a little more like I do out on the links. There were some really funny moments in here, but I also thought that once you established the concept of randomness, it would have just continued in that direction, it..instead now we are in a lab, and the ball is the main character..also spoiler alert..
IMO from a conceptual perspective itd have been more satisfying to remain the golfer continuing to flail just to put whatever he can manage to successfully get into the cup or hit the pin with. Then move onto the next hole. It could still be staged as p.o.v. And either throw the avatar into the scene from offstage at the swing, or keep the shots hes goin “body driver” as they are now, just more of that gag in general could have been used..and the cat sound efx should be played up a bit..and maybe some more dynamic reactions/ animations to match the absurdity of it all.
Otherwise it was entertaining, the controls were simple, and it Made me Laugh. Would love to see a more realized version in the future, but what do I know anyhow? Its a fun title right now, and you ought to play a round to see for yourselves.

Fri Apr 10 2020 Water_WolfyI love this game and because of how wacky it is and the references it makes like the whale in the space area and other hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy reference. But one area kinda pisses me off. The super hot area. Now I want to say I LOVE this area as I love the game and own super hot and super hot vr. And this game does do a decent job at making a version of it in this game but it has a few issues. 1: the ai. So for those of you who don’t know and are reading this super hot is a game where time moves when you move and your goal is to kill these red guys with versions weapons. And in super hot on computer the ai does guess accurately on where to shoot when you are moving but the thing is this game does the same BUT the issue with doing that is one, the computer has better control with the movement but this game you are sliding your finger and it launches whatever way the arrow is telling it to. And also you have a melee attack in super hot that has a bit of range to it so you don’t have to worry about getting shot at point blank range most of the time. Issue 2: the pacifist runs. So often to get the crown for the super hot levels you have to do a pacifist run of the level but the second or third level for you to get past the red guys to get to the flag you have to go around a barrier, but the guys are still shooting, and they can sometimes shoot each other and you will be held responsible for that. And one last thing USING A WEAPON IN MY OPINION SHOULD NOT COUNT AS A PUTT

So for those rating this app based on the fact that it occasionally has bug issues, that may be the case for them but I simply haven’t had any of those issues.
Now into the review:
This game is truly a delight and almost worth the entire monthly fee in paying for Apple Arcade. From funny dad-jokes to truly challenging levels, this game gives you everything you could ask for in quality. If you’re looking for a game to sit and invest a couple hours in, this game is great for you because it’s huge and will keep you entertained. Looking for a quick on-the-throne pooper game (you know you do it) without losing progress or having to invest too much time? This game answers to that need too! Levels only last sometimes as little as 15 seconds but other times as long as a few minutes (on the more difficult levels that you have to restart). All in all, I love the quality and magnitude of this game— it was built very well.
