Disney Getaway Blast+ in Apple Arcade

Dinsun here. I’ve spent decades playing these things, and Getaway Blast+ doesn't exactly reinvent the wheel. It's your standard tile-popping fare wrapped in a very shiny, very expensive Disney coat. The keychain aesthetic is charming enough, I suppose, but the core loop—solve puzzle, earn currency, click a button to 'renovate' a pre-set area—is a mobile staple that's starting to show its age.

There’s no real challenge here if you've played any puzzle game in the last ten years, and while the lack of ads in this version is a mercy, it doesn't change the fact that the mechanics are as shallow as a backyard pool. It’s competent, sure, but it lacks the soul of a truly creative puzzle game. It's fine for a commute, but don't expect it to occupy your mind for long.
