I don't mind a slow pace, but 'Adorable Garden' borders on stagnant. It’s clearly designed for the 'cozy' aesthetic crowd—lots of soft colors and cute animals—but the actual game part is thin. You wait for things to happen, click a button, and wait some more. The character customization is a nice touch, but the fact that you can't easily change your look later without a headache is a baffling oversight for a game based on self-expression.

The merge side-quests are where the real frustration lies. They feel completely out of sync with the 'relaxing' vibe, demanding a level of grind and perfect timing that usually requires spending money to overcome. It’s a cynical way to monetize a game that presents itself as peaceful. If you just want to look at pretty pictures of a digital garden, it’s fine, but as a game, it’s remarkably hollow. I’ve seen better versions of this idle-sim formula that don't try to squeeze you as hard.
