★★★★★ Very cute but I think owning this game is coming to an end

Ok so this game is SoOOoOooO cute and I love it, it’s one of the ONLY games I play, but I’m having second thoughts about it...it’s just that, 1st of all, yesterday when I started playing, a frog was going fishing and when he caught something he stayed there. And he wouldn’t move over for other people. What 🤔??? And when I shook the maracas more guests came but they weren’t going in the inn 🏨. What 🤔???? So the tips kept on getting bigger but no one was getting inside the inn. I was so confused 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😐. I don’t understand why they aren’t doing anything. And it said the diggy animal was coming, and then one more guest came into the line. And no one was even going in. I miss seeing them run on the wheel 🏃🏼‍♀️, and sleep in the bed 😴. All you ever see them do now is eat, and eat, and eat, and eat 😐🤦🏼‍♀️. Please fix this because I really love this game but if they aren’t doing anything it’s a kind of boring game to have. And also, I forgot to mention that when they come to eat they come in boats too. So no one even gets to eat either ☕️ 🍵. And my employees aren’t even doing anything anymore. These are the worst cons I’m dealing with so far so please fix them because this game just isn’t worthwhile anymore. Sincerely, A confused player

★★★★★ Beautiful art style but lackluster game mechanics

Hyper Beard definitely has their signature art style and themes figured out. Every game they have is beautiful and the art design is creative and well thought out. Unfortunately that’s where the creativity ends. Their games, including Hamster Inn, are gorgeous but consist of the bare minimum when it comes to game mechanics. The early stages of the game are fairly engaging, having to manage room service, clean the rooms, and scare off unwelcomed guests. After you unlock the staff members that do these tasks for you, the game just becomes a source of ad revenue. The gameplay loop soon becomes: login, watch a couple ads, buy upgrades, logout. As much as I enjoy the art style Hyper Beard has mastered, the games are just bare bones and lack any engaging features. I liked Hamster Inn in the beginning, but after the staff got involved it became so automated that I was no longer “running” the inn and ended up just watching ads to increase my wallet to buy items that ultimately had no effect or change in how the game operates. If you plan on playing Hamster Inn I fully recommend not purchasing any staff members if you want to have an engaging experience, otherwise it’s just a source of ad revenue for Hyper Beard.

★★★★★ I love everything about it, but it crashes

All the other reviews saying how this game is amazing are correct! I'm personally experiencing a little issue with the game though. i'm not sure if it's because of the new update or it's just like this, but at times the game will just crash and close after an ad or just regular playing. Opening the game after crashing for the first time made me realize it deleted some of my progress ~ I had earned 100k and bought furniture, but reopening the game I had to regain it all back as well as rebuy the furniture. I wouldn't mind this if it wasn't constant but it happens every time I open the game now, I expect it to happen and I no longer look forward to playing as often because I can just lose all my stuff, and because this game doesn't use the cloud to save progress I feel like this needs be fixed fast. Someone can lose all their progress and no way to get it back because it saves to the device, not the cloud.

★★★★★ No Cloud Save and Binding

Let’s talks about the bad first: Game crashes after playing awhile and you lose your progress. The ads range from 10 seconds to 1.5 minutes long. Ads button are not responsive at times to cancel. Sometimes I claim rewards without watching an Ad it will force you to watch an app. The biggest problem is no cloud saving, and can’t bind to your Apple ID or other forms of account. So if you lost your device or damaged it, your game has to start over from zero. The mini games sometimes has no sound after playing for awhile and especially with after watching an Ad. This is a huge problem with the pond whistle mini games because the sound of whistle helps out a lot. The Good: definitely cute, this game offers the cozy vibe and if you are not in a hurry to build your inn this game can be played as F2P for sure. As someone who likes cozy games, relaxed and laid back pace this is good. I also play many games like this, it is a preference which to choose from, if you like to build on a flat perspective or with different directions, then pick your taste.

★★★★★ Cute game, missing parts?

Super cute game, I’ve nearly unlocked all the furniture within a few days of playing. Not super keen on Tapjoy being the method of gaining more gems, but it is what it is. Occasionally, my game will sort of bug out and guests will stop dropping seeds in the coffee shop but will pile them up at the fishing spot. It’s nothing a game restart won’t fix, but just a minor annoyance that will hopefully be fixed. Looking through the screenshots on the app page, there also seems to be missing parts of the game. I’ve never learned about any guests’ backstory, or had any sidequests, or made smoothies or anything of that sort. If these are things that were in the game before the global launch and have since been removed, then maybe adjusting the screenshots and game description should be done. If they are things that are going to be added then…yay? But why showcase these things before they’re actually implemented?

★★★★★ Honestly the best but a few recommendations

I love Hyperbeard’s games like Pocket Love, Adorable Home, and Clawbert, but… Hamster is my all time favorite and is super underrated. But one thing I must suggest is that there is more use of diamonds, because one time I watched so much ads and only got 2 diamonds. Another one is the job wait, but we have must wait almost 6 minutes for the manager to do its job, but it should be doing its job all the time in my opinion. I am truly overwhelmed by how they leave the seeds in the rooms, I think they should just save to your seeds right when you get them. Although this game requires patience, saving, and energy, this game is on the top of energetic games! I also recommend that preparing players read this to see if you really want this game. (It’s okay if you don’t though)

★★★★★ Best idle game

You can idle, or if you want to grind and get everything in under a week, it’s completely possible. No intrusive ads, any you choose to watch give you gems, seeds, or doubles/triples your rewards. It’s so cute and I love how you can pick whichever designs you like, and that the perks from buying things stack. I’ve gotten all the unique costumers, and half of the workers just from watching a few voluntary ads a day for gems, which in turn makes me completely okay with watching the ads. And the mini game is a nice little brain workout! Love this game completely. Only suggestion is increasing the amount of seeds you can pay for. The max buyable option isn’t worth it at all beyond a certain level, which I exceeded pretty quickly bc of how on top of it I’ve been with this game
