Kairosoft has been making the same game for twenty years, and honestly, I'm not even mad about it. Basketball Club Story is exactly what you expect: addictive, charming, and a massive time sink. You start with a bunch of nobodies and slowly grind your way to the top. The loop is satisfying—training your players, seeing their stats go up, and then watching them actually perform on the court. It’s got that 'just one more week' quality that keeps me up later than I should be.

However, I have to take points off for the technical laziness. It’s 2026 and we’re still seeing Kairosoft games that don't fit modern iPhone screens properly. Seeing black bars or cut-off UI elements on a high-end device is unacceptable for a paid app. Also, the lack of in-game help is a hurdle; they expect you to know their formula by now, but some of the newer sponsorship mechanics are poorly explained. It’s a good game, maybe even a great one if you love the grind, but it’s far from perfect.
