I appreciate the attempt at atmosphere here. Most mobile games are trying to scream in your face with neon colors and slot-machine noises, but Forest Quest is actually quiet. The 'light and mirror' puzzle is a classic genre—think 'Aargon' or 'God of Light'—and this follows the blueprint faithfully. You rotate mirrors to hit a target. It's simple, honest work.

My problem is that it’s too easy for the first three 'forests.' I’m forty; I don't need my hand held for two hours before the game actually starts. The puzzles are linear, and there’s usually only one obvious solution. Where are the branching paths? Where is the real brain-bending logic? It feels like it was designed for a much younger audience, even though the aesthetic is more mature. It’s 'nice,' but I don't play games to feel 'nice.' I play to be tested. It’s a decent piece of software, but it lacks the 'bite' required to be a truly great puzzle game.
