Beat Sneak Bandit is a rhythmic revelation. Simogo has created something truly special here—a stealth game where every single movement must be in sync with the beat of the soundtrack. It’s a brilliant fusion of genres that feels completely native to the touch screen. You play as the Bandit, trying to steal back all the clocks from Duke Clockface, and the only way to move is to tap to the rhythm.
The puzzles are deviously designed. You have to time your sneak past guards, trapdoors, and security cameras, all while the music keeps a steady pulse. The art style is gorgeous, with a 60s spy-flick aesthetic that is oozing with style. It’s one of the most creative and polished games on the App Store, and it will have you bobbing your head while you solve its brain-bending puzzles.
Now this is clever. Simogo actually tried to do something new here. Forcing stealth mechanics into a rhythmic 4/4 beat is a stroke of genius. It’s difficult, yes, and if you have a tin ear, you're going to struggle. But the art is fantastic—very 60s Saul Bass—and the gameplay loop is tight. It’s one of the few games from this era that still feels fresh. It’s a bit short, and the late-game levels are brutal, but it's quality work.
Performance: Audio latency is non-existent, which is critical here.

Watch the environment! Everything from the guards' footsteps to the swinging pendulums moves to the beat. If you are unsure of the rhythm, look for the visual 'pulse' on the screen or listen for the steady bass line.
To change direction, simply walk into a wall on the beat. The Bandit will turn around automatically, allowing you to backtrack or wait for the perfect moment to sneak past a camera.
While not strictly required, headphones are highly recommended to catch the subtle rhythmic cues that are essential for the more difficult levels.
