Dinsun here. Finally, something with actual substance. Action Squad takes the tactical DNA of the original Door Kickers and flattens it into a side-scroller that works surprisingly well. It’s tough, but fair—mostly. You have to actually think before you blast a door open, or you'll end up with a room full of dead hostages and a 'Mission Failed' screen. The gear progression is meaningful, and the classes actually feel distinct. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, and I appreciate that. It’s a solid bit of retro-inspired violence that stays focused on its core loop. My only gripe? The touch controls are okay, but this really begs for a physical controller to avoid the occasional 'fat-finger' grenade tragedy.
