If you liked 'The Room,' you’ll understand the appeal here. Doors: Awakening is all about poking, prodding, and twisting mechanical dioramas. It’s highly tactile, and the haptic feedback on iPhone really sells the sensation of sliding a rusted bolt or turning a key. It’s a very 'grown-up' puzzle game—quiet, methodical, and aesthetically pleasing.
My primary complaint is the difficulty; it’s a bit on the easy side for a veteran. Most solutions are right in front of you if you just rotate the camera. It’s also quite short—you can breeze through the main levels in a couple of hours. It’s a polished experience, but I found myself wishing for a bit more friction to make the victories feel earned. Still, for a free-to-try title, the quality is undeniable.
